Thanks to all for your input and support, hopefully i stress hopefully weve heard the last of Mr ***********************ski, Hubby has spoken to him and pointed out the facts to him in a firm ( harsh, abrupt, concise dont bother my wife again rant) but fair conversation stating he should have done his homework and that he came with intent to buy the car, by arriving in a taxi, and sending the taxi away, before knocking on our door.
My copy of the receipt is safe and sound and will remain so, just incase any fines should appear. It can be a valuable lesson to any of us when selling a car or buying one privately to either write your own receipt of sale or purchase . The basic format i use is as follows --------
Example Toyota celica 2.0 L Registration mark (THEOMEN) Sold to Name
Address
Sold as seen, tried and tested P/code
For the sum of £40,00000 Date Time Buyer signature
From Mrs Blogg, Address.
We havnt sold many cars over the years, but what we have, we always tried to protect ourselves from the scammers out there, and to prevent getting into trouble with the police, or dvla, by using the above and have never had anyone refuse to sign. The majority of buyers are sincere in my experience and have nothing to hide..
If this helps just one of our members i will be happy.
Thanks to all cheers amanda

People who don't check insurance first get all they deserve. End of.

posted off this morningGood work doing that. Obviously you sorted the V5 out quick then? What a tool driving it off like that! Surprised he is bothering to try and find insurance at all!
-
the one thing i did make him do was sign a letter to say sold as seen and amount, dated and timed so we had no come back from police if he was camerad in the car
-
and no tax that ran out end of feb !!!He drove the car away uninsured?
-
We gave all info when selling it ! kept nothing back cant see any reason not to be truthful as its gets you no where only trouble ! all i can say is what a knob !
-
Well as some of you know my red celica has gone to a new home now the question is this man has bought my car and now keeps ringing me as he cant get insurance for it ! not sure if its just because its an import ( which is highly unlikely because we all have insurance ) , or its because he hasnt got an english driving licience just a polish one ! and what does he think im suposed to do about it !!! it was advertised as an import . sorry if ive put this in the wrong section wasnt sure where to put it

My paint code is 202 doesnt refer to a name
-
thats cheeting ! lol but you can have it whats the next challenge then ?I didnt realise I had to be in the picture as well
It's true he does live near me - but can't just show up at his house and pose with his new car
-
And where are you in the pic ?
-
Do I detect a tiny smidge of sarcasm brian
Ok then, if its to hard i will drop the Aldi / Lidl bit as no self respecting gt86 owner would surely shop there. I wouldnt want to be guilty of making it too hard to do.

New challenge, not sure if its been done, correct me if so.
A Celica Club members car with the club owner in the photo, Club Stickers must be visible and it has to be parked next to a celica gt86. Now this may sound simple, But,
It cannot be at any car dealership carpark/forecourt., it has to be in a Lidl or Aldi carpark with the shop sign in view
:hysterical:
Ok ok i will remove the Aldi / Lidl bit, begrudgingly

Found this in my red celica in the wheel well, i assume it was its japanese numberplate.
