Thanks Amanda
Off the top of my head I’m sure we only received 1 photo of jello with another car next to it who I can’t remember who it was but the qaulity wasn’t great and the sizing might have been an issue too but I can’t remember. Try and make sure she gets some good photos this year and send them across for the next one.
We are keeping the email open all year for photos to be sent so I’m hoping after each show or meet people will send photos across
Thanks Jan, the memorial page was a pleasure to do, we really wanted to do something that meant a lot to members and just seemed very fitting for this years calendar. Just a shame we have lost such great people
Just so you all know, we have sent a calendar ( free of charge of course) to the family members of those on the memorial page, I was in touch with them while the calendar was being designed and they were all very supportive
Not complaining hun

Calendar arrived this morning was a challenge to get the photos to dawn ! thanks for being patient we got there in the end jello only managed to show a wing off , but a great calendar

A friend of mine had a Salmon dropped on her car. Mind you, it was by an American Bald Eagle and she lives in Seattle.
Bird shite is pretty bad stuff as any of you who are into detailing (which many of us are) can eat into the laquer ans paintwork.
After my car was resprayed every time a bird pooped on it i was outside like a shot to wipe it off ! as it was eating into the new paint straight away it went back to the sprayers more times than i can remember for them to buff it out !

I annealed the copper brake line washers on my mtb 4 pot calipers about this time last year. They've been fine and I've given them a good bit of use downhill with any leaks.
Proof it works first hand, and no better way of showing it We could do with a list on parts we can easily recycle,

Not that is the work of a properly trained 'old school' engineer.
You know Tony, if he can save something rather than the bin
Havnt come across any aluminum ones yet, but good to know they are reusable

She is now aware, god help us

Hi my hubby always reuses copper washers. Is simple even I can do it now. Clean washer then heat till cherry red, leave to cool and job done.
Blowtorch, gas ring on cooker, never tried electric or camping stove. Saves searching for new ones

FYI I ordered that exact item from that seller and it didn't arrive, case opened a few days ago and no response from the seller as yet!
I'm still not sure it won't arrive, as an item bought in the UK and posted on the 6th just arrived last Friday... but the lack of response isn't good
I got this cable and is copper throughout: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261528822971?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=560404793974&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Sorry to hear about crappy seller, try this one on amazon little bit more but at least in uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boat-Battery-System-Circuit-Breaker/dp/B00H7088OQ/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1422577115&sr=8-14&keywords=150+amp

Hi Digs, I havnt asked him why he is planning to return the earth, am still lagging behind getting my head round half of it as it is lol. Will ask him tomorrow why for you. Re the kill switch location by pm would be better, not that I dont trust the regular crew on here, but you never know who is on the fringes
-
Hi digs this is the breaker I was planning on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390999688324?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=660364630113&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I know a lot of folk hesitate with sellers from China, maybe hubby is lucky when choosing as always had good service and decent goods.
Hubby is planning on routing power feed under the dash with a hidden kill switch, then trailing the cable down the drivers side, if I understand his sketch correctly and then running a continuous earth from boot to bay
This is the cable he is looking at, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151381014392?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=450559738013&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
he has checked with them that it is all copper cable, as some have a aluminium core with a copper outer layer. From the research hubby has done the ally stuff is generally cheaper but much heavier cable is needed compared to copper.
Someone correct me if I am wrong on any of this please

Thanks Limey, the circuit breakers look very neat in my eyes, and cheaper .
Waiting for hubby to finish the shopping list for everything and then to order some good weather for a few days, as if
-
Another question for you guys, what are your views on fitting a circuit breaker instead of a fuse at the battery end ? If so would 150 amp unit be good, or is it likely to trip everytime the car is started ?
Nothing like another brain teaser to start the day

Hi Dan, it is a minefield knowing what to use, the amount of differing views on what size/ gauge cable is best. I was planning on getting the cable this week so may well take your advice and drop the size, many thanks
-
Cheers Simon, yes its for battery a relocate. I have the cable in hand my query is we plan to put a fused connection to the original + feed cable under the bonnet (and another in the boot next to battery) My glitch is the cable Im using is 1.0 gauge and is far bigger than the orginal toyota feed. The fused link has a 1.0 inlet and optional gauge outlets, it just seems a weak link using the remaining toyota cable or have I answered my own question ? Hope this makes sense
Can anyone help...where does this lead go!?
