  1. Is there any easy way of working out what size screw I need for a certain hole? (The innuendo in that sentence! lol)

Reason is, mounting the headunit to the 7, now the brackets are attached securely to the head unit, however at the moment, the brackets are not screwed to the car :s so the unit is kinda loose. I dont have the screws needed to attach it however. Is there anyway of working out which size I need without trial and error? or does anyone know what size screws I need?

  2. Can anyone do it? after buying Sadles car there is a sticker on the back in Japanese, now managed to translate part of it, but not been able to get any further, the sticker is below, the bit in the circle on the left and the first 3 characters of the centre part mean Toyota but that is as far as i've been able to get

and yes I know the car is filthy after the journey home, lol

  3. Someone at work is subscribed to PPC, and so the mags appear in our crewroom/squadron bar, and noticed that Sept Issue had appear so had a look as usual, and was glad to see a buyers guide for the Gen 7 in there :D although dont think the person who did the review did enough research lol, apparently the 1st GT-Four was the faff (I mean we know its the best and all, but think the 165 and 185 should of at least got a slight mention, lol) and also apparently the 190 is very prone to overheating, first I've heard about it! lol Apart from that it's a good review, mentions about the 140 death rattle in alot of detail.

Also good to see on the page after an advert for CCUK :D good to see that PPC consider the Gen7 a proper performance car :D

  4. My other Half Sam (YJ52 on here) uses her Celica for her and her son, and i've used the GT-Four with a baby before (got odd looks parking it in the parent and child parking spots, lol), so the celica is fine as a family car as long as you dont mind the fact its a 3dr car

  5. not sure about fitting the gen 6, but yes, there's a wire that is supposed to be connected to the handbrake (somehow) when being installed, so that you can't watch videos when on the move. All you have to do is connect it to an earthed point or a ground wire and it bypasses the handbrake switch.

meant to be attached to the +ve side of the handbrake switch that the light on the dash is connected to. however if you connect it to any ground point, the unit will think that the handbrake is on, however that is illegal.

  6. Dont use mine when driving, but like to have a few DVD's in the car for when parked up at service stations for a break if I'm on my own, instead of sitting in the station, i just sit in the car with a coffee (carefully drinking it so it doesn't spill of course) watching a DVD, just have to make sure that I keep an eye on the battery level

Only reason i got a Double DIN is that i liked having a touch screen, and looks good

  7. found a shop that sells these (as is where the one you found a picture is from)

    http://customswitchpanels.com/

but you have to hunt for it, go to Toyota, then Celica Switch panels, at the bottom you will see shift gate pictures, but cant find anywhere to buy them on there, am tempted by one myself

altho just read a post on it on NC.org, the gear lever doesn't actually go into the gate slots, so is just there for show
