So this is a new moulding from a genuine scoop that's going to be made, or is already made?

I see loads of gen7s round my way, saw two yellow ones in the space of a mile yesterday, Rarely see gen5s or older though.

I don't notice an improvement with v power over 95 either but I still use it, though my engine has only done about 35K miles. I just see the relatively small extra cost as maintanance, keeping things nice and clean in there.

Damn that's a bargain, did you get hit for import duty? This wouls look great sitting in my garage waiting for me to get round to getting them fitted.
-
On my previous car I had metal ones that seized on and I had to have the valves cut out. Never doing that again!

Engineering is always done to a budget and includes safety factors, plus end products often have to suit a potentially diverse target demographic to maximise sales.
Modding is all about tailoring the car to your needs and making changes the manufacturer deemed too expensive to be worthwhile or didn't have the time/budget to develop and perhaps reducing those safety factors based on the owners desired level of risk. I find it hard to believe changing to poly bushes will have a catastrophic impact on chassis component life, I'd bank on rust killing something first. If making the ride harsher was catastrophic you probably wouldn't get 18" wheel upgrade options with runflat tyres on a car that comes on 16's and large profile as standard.

Definitley orange if it was my car

Wanted one ever since I saw the castrol liveried gen 5 bad boys rallying on the TV as a kid.
My second car was a JDM ST182. Money was a bit tight then, it was cheap as chips and a bit of a shed on the outside but mechanically sound and gave me several hassle free years of fun motoring. Now I own a gen7. If only they rallied the gen 7

Visually I like it, but they will probably be out of your field of vision whilst driving.

My previous 1991 JDM st182 had electrically adjustable seats (amazing) and electric folding mirrors. My current 2006 celica has neither....
I really miss those seats!
