bosslady
anyone have any tips on pricing the headlights apart? heat gun isn't working there is just to much glue to get through and It won't fit in the oven :/
gen7nnb
As far as I was aware, the oven was the only way really. With a heat gun you heat a bit and by the time you get to all the glue, bits have cooled and gone off again already.

James7
There's quite a bit of info here: http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/147349-headlight-ideas/page__hl__+open%20+headlight#entry1835939 I still haven't gotten around to doing this myself, are you planning to paint the inside or fit some halo's? Good Luck, Let us know how you get on!
bosslady
It's so hard! Thanks for the link, painting the insides white same colour as the respray I'm having done so it will blend in perfectly
James7
Cool, if you do the underside you get a ribbed effect, rather than solid, I'm sure there are some pictures somewhere..

rich_p
I squeezed as much of my headlight In oven as i could and watrmed the glue that way. I Also gave them a few prolonged blasts with a hairdryer the then pulled at them like crazy, rembering to undo the tabs before hand to allow a bit more more movement. I find ribbed has a pleasing effect

Chris CW
Yeah heatgun here too, well hairdryer I think actually - yes, make the gen 7 hairdresser jokes! Definitely paint the top and not the underside, will give a stronger and more solid colour. White is gonna look awesome!
