Canon4pics
I noticed this morning that when I change my gear into any gear im geting a slight sqeak or whistling noise, but its only during the movement of the gear stick, does anyone know what it could be and how to stop it? I noticed it a few days ago when driving but only just realised its coming from my gears. It also does it when the car is stationary so its nothing to do with being under load. It sounds like the same kind of noise as brake squeal but only very slight. Edited November 6, 2011 by Canon4pics
Black Knight
Just a guess but maybe the cables are too tight or need regressing
planc
Pull the gear gaitor up and see if it sounds to be coming from the plastic assembly below, if it is spray with silicon spray or grease.
