Ring Fensport mate

yeah was thinking that mate. just need the pin positions on the plug for ecu.

fensport say to take the cover off the ecu and pins are marked. wanted to avoid that was hoping to just splice into the wiring on the plug. ecu looks like it would be a pain in the ass to get out. getting to the plugs for it is much easier

Ooh cool, tell me how it goes when fitting it as im thinking of getting one :)

not sure if i will be able to tell you much apart from fitting help mate. im fitting one to run a set of piper ultimate road cams along with a fse boost valve and deck spacer.

wont be able to tell if chip changes anything on its own. unless i can get chip done before cams ect get done. will stick a post or 2 up when engine work is started

Of her the car running on the chip and cams first then add the other bits maybe.

I would get the car running on the chip and cams first then add the other bits maybe.

yeah my brother in law used to have his own auto elec place so he is doing the chip for me.

chip will be first thing done probly. thats been the hold up getting engine work started wanted the chip in place before anything else. maybe another fone call to the nice man from super chips see if i can squeeze as much as i can out of everything. if its reprogrammable then should be able to get a bit more hopefully.

cant believe you got a lead and software for superchips for free !!!!! now you are cooking with gas :D , fennies and superchips hq just told me to foff  only place i found them was a mini specialist who wanted £90 for the pair

i found that the superchips diagram wrong , the 3sge wiring was for a gen 6 and i had to wire my gen 5 ecu the same as an mr2 , took about half an hour to fathom which wire went where , but got there in the end ,with the software you can remap to get the best out of it , i think the only thing you 'may' need is an old laptop as the lead is serial port (not usb) but the lead and software are mega rare so an old laptop should be easy to find/borrow

later on in life you 'could' offer to remap others who have the chip , they are very popular in rover/mg circles , may a bob or 2 on the side

the wiring that you sent me didnt have a gen6 on it mate. my brother in law was at it for couple of hours at the weekend. plugs on my ecu are not the same as any of them. i want to try and avoid having to take the ecu out it looks like a pain in the ass to get to. can get to the plugs no probs tho.
