Tom GT Posted May 10, 2011 Report Share Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) if you don't wrap properly then heat is expelled at extreme rates in area's that are not wrapped and can cause fire, also you left one branch naked that branch will have a lower operating temperature so the exhaust gasses will have a lower flow velocity. wrapping can be dangerous and should only really be done with extreme care.
