Description
My Celica 2.0 GT
On the road between March and October (ish) covering about 1500 miles each year.
Hibernating in the garage during the winter.
It's old and worn and as funds allow I'm gradually improving Its condition.
Heading towards new suspension all round next I think with new top mounts probably, and maybe a new brake calliper which is a little bit sticky but still functioning within permitted tolerances.
Planning to look at getting the gearbox refurbished when eventually the clutch wears out. Gears 1, 3 and 5 need gentle low rpm engagement to avoid crunching. There is also a fair bit of play between drive and overrun which makes it a little jerky to drive.
I would also like to get underneath and do corrosion treatment front to back, when I can bring myself to actually get on and do it.
Outer body paint work is almost all original and in very good condition except for mirrors, door handles and rear spoiler which all need to be repainted.
Wheels also need to be refurbished.
Progress as and when funds allow.
