Bret1975's guide to coding Replacement keyfobs

DISCLAIMER: This guide is for the TVSS IIIB alarm system and has been tested on my car. The following should be done at entirely your own risk so please do not send me a bill if the procedure fails!

Remove the centre console fascia and centre top heater vents.

Locate the TVSS IIIB module above the centre heater vent position. It will have two black cable ties holding it in position.

Cut the two cable ties and carefully pull the unit toward you - the loom is very tight so not much space to work in.

There is a bracket at the back of the TVSS IIIB which is attached with one small screw and a rivet (to prevent removal).

Remove the screw, you then need to drill out the rivet, there shouldn't be any wires behind it but check first, you can see.

If you can't find the screw and rivet you may need to remove some of the foam stuck along the edge, they are under it.

Slide the cover off and you will then see the wiring harness but do not unplug anything, there is no need.

You will see a small hole with a green button inside it, between the wiring harness and some dip switches.

Stay in the car with all doors, bonnet and boot closed.

Insert key into ignition and turn on to the ACC position.

Hold down the green button on the TVSS IIIB until the alarm LED in front of the gear stick is permanently lit. Keep button held in.

While holding the green button in press both buttons on your keyfob and hold until the indicators flash once.

Release the green button and turn the ignition off.

Try to lock and unlock your car from the keyfob - it should now be working!

Repeat steps 9 to 14 for each keyfob if you have more than one. I believe the TVSS IIIB can take upto four but I'm not 100% certain.
