whatever you decide as your colour/colours  my advice is to forget the internet and get yourself off to somewhere like dunhelm or some fabric outlet so you can actually see the faux leather and check its compatability (thats why i have 9metres of red and 6 metres of grey that i dont want  ) cos to start off i bought them off the internet !! most will only cost up to £7 per metre even from an outlet so its worth having a look around as some of the faux leather on the internet turns up looking like cheap pvc!!

now through various stages of doing this i have found that the best glue to use is superglue  i have tried all the contact adhesives and carpet adhesives but the problem with them is they take time to go off and in the time it takes for them to cure you end up with (bastard )air bubbles so to your shopping list add B&Q superglue (twice the size of superglue for the same price)

whatever you decide as your colour/colours my advice is to forget the internet and get yourself off to somewhere like dunhelm or some fabric outlet so you can actually see the faux leather and check its compatability (thats why i have 9metres of red and 6 metres of grey that i dont want  ) cos to start off i bought them off the internet !! most will only cost up to £7 per metre even from an outlet so its worth having a look around as some of the faux leather on the internet turns up looking like cheap pvc!!

the first thing you need to do is to strip down the doors into their two seperate parts then remove speaker grills my door cards seem to be a lot different than some other gen 6 s so you may not have the mid range speaker housing take the door handle off and throw in your pile of bits  then get a container and put all your screws in (you will need them later  ) so you should have gone from this,

now through various stages of doing this i have found that the best glue to use is superglue i have tried all the contact adhesives and carpet adhesives but the problem with them is they take time to go off and in the time it takes for them to cure you end up with (bastard )air bubbles so to your shopping list add B&Q superglue (twice the size of superglue for the same price)

as for the application of the leather i am sorry but there is only the old trial and error method  its simply put (a right ball ache!!) just try to keep your cuts to a minimum and use a heat gun to stretch your leather always make sure you cut enough leather so that you can fold and fix to the rear of your door cards then you can trim it all up after you have it all glued down

i know its not a very concise how to but for anyone wanting to attempt i would say take your time and expect to have the odd setback and if anyone wants to know anything that i can help them with just ask but just so you know it can be done here ya go
