slybunda Posted 30 August Report Posted 30 August So when replacing the AC condenser the 2 bolts that hold the bracket that holds the condenser in place snapped. I was careful but guess they just took far gone . Drilling didn't seem to do much I'm guessing they are hardened steel. Any ideas how I can remove them? What's in the underside is it a nut welded to the frame or something else? Some better pics of the screws that are stuck in the holes. Iv put bumper all back on now. Just need to take it for a regas. Not sure what to do with the brackets, they are out back on and held by the condenser side but hopefully it doesn't pop off. Could epoxy the bracket on but that's gonna be issue in future if I need to do any work again.
slybunda Posted 31 August Author Report Posted 31 August Got 5.5mm cobalt drill bit from Toolstation. Drilled through and tapped hole and used stainless bolts. All sorted now
