I'm sure I recall a number of people on the forum mentioning buying parts from TCB, but I cannot not find anything under Search.

In the last week or so, I've emailed TCB twice with no reply. Just tried to phone them and the Phone says number invalid (email address and phone taken from the website).

I've never used them before. Can some confirm they are still around, and /or suggest alternative sources for genuine Toyota parts?

Thanks

I tried to contact them about brake parts a couple of months ago,the phone route is a waste of time.So I got them from GT4-Play instead.

Tbh I always use Gt4-play,  Stephens pretty good at getting parts if he doesn't stock them.

Thanks for that info; I'll take a look at GT4-Play.

I had a look at gt4play yesterday and when I saw a screw which costs £1 from amayama at £3.45p I passed on them. Many parts well overpriced. Blueprint rear droplinks for 54 quid from gt4play yea not for me.

Let me know which parts your after and I can suggest where to get from

I always check first on amayama, though often something is noted as available but ends up not being. GT4play for much quicker delivery of items if in stock in UK. Sure on FB Paul noted he is running TCB in spare time now.

The main thing I was after were front brake pads. Now, I have a pre-face Gen7 registered in Sept 2002, and I think it may be the case that there could be some uncertainty about which pads that car needs.  I cannot find any notes (pics) I should have made when I last changed the pads 🙁, and I thought TCB might have some insight.

I'm not decided that they have to be Toyota Parts; I have always been happy with Mintex, for example.

Any inputs welcome.

For brake pads it's easy enough to get from any shop like eurocarparts gsf etc.

What's your preface lift a 1zz or 2zz?

Mines a preface 2zz and had 275mm discs up front. Iv done the 295 avensis conversation however

It's the humble 1zz. I've just been on the Mintex website - that is sooooooooooooo user unfriendly 👎. Cannot recall last time I bought from Euro.

Thanks for suggestion to look at Euro. Their very nice website shows that there are indeed 2 potential pad fitments for my 7, and it's easy to spot which I need- see attached. But I'll avoid Eicher and go for the Mintex MDB2029, £20 on Ebay. If you've not already guessed, it's MoT time 🙂
