Stewpot Posted 25 March Report Posted 25 March I would say very few new stone chips if any, I drove it on the sage as well, very dusty but not that gravelly tbh. And we weren’t Hooning it around. They had a different back story prior to arriving at site but they could’ve done a couple of versions.

I think we are going to need to investigate that rally stage further..... I think from memory though the producer said it was privately owned??
Stewpot Posted 27 March Report Posted 27 March It is, probably forestry. It is gated, they did get access
daveRC Posted 27 March Report Posted 27 March I finally watched this last night, some interesting quotes by Nicky Grist... 1000 RC's left in the world?? Is there anyway to fact check this? Great show overall. 1

There are various websites that list the different variants of Carlos Sainz cars such as GpA Rallye, RC and CS - but I don't think there is a definitive way of establishing exactly how many of each are left. Newly discovered ones come out of the woodwork, some get dismantled for parts if they are beyond saving,. So it is really hard to say. It will be interesting to find out from Nicky Grist how he arrived at that figure. 1
Santiago Posted 30 March Report Posted 30 March I can't wait to watch this when it comes out on channel 4! Haven't got Nat Geo, unless anyone knows of another way to watch it sooner
CheltGirl Posted 31 March Author Report Posted 31 March The Producer has given me the link to the extended in-car interview with Nicky Grist. This is more footage than is seen in the final programme. Tim gets to ride as Nicky's passenger whilst interviewing Nicky. Just as well it was on public roads - because I think Tim would have been speechless if it was on a rally stage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBsNeqOGIP0&t=4s 2

dannybgoode Posted 3 June Report Posted 3 June (edited) Just watched that an I must say my room got very dusty at the reveal. Didn't realise the car lives in the best city in the world nor that Tim hails from here. I did know about Mike Brewer's dealership as I drive past it every day. My (ex) brother in law bought a car from his previous showroom across best Bramall Lane too. Great episode and the end result was a spectacular looking car. I'll have to keep an eye out for it round town. Well done to everyone involved from on here Edited 3 June by dannybgoode 1
