slybunda Posted 3 July 2025 Author Report Posted 3 July 2025 This hot weather has had the wax drip out the door drain holes and make a mess all around. Not sure how often it's supposed to be done but since I got a lot of tins left can probably redo it again next year
slybunda Posted 23 August Author Report Posted 23 August Finally got round to doing the underside of the Celica and wife's new aygo. For Celica I used noxudol 300. Oddly it's still wet after 10 days has a paste sort of feel. Wife's aygo I used waxoyl clear for inside stuff and black for underbody. Waxoyl cures much quicker to a hardish wax also it's in my clothes and impossible to remove. Will check how it's holding up next year, although I get the feeling noxudol 300 may not be a hard enough of a wax and should have gone with noxudol 900 or just use waxoyl. Time will tell.

If I remember is yours an early one that hasn't been rustproofed that much in the past but is still rot free with usage. It seems to me with my experience too that tho these cars can rust like crazy it doesn't take too much extra and knowledge to keep em rust free maybe it's the same with all rusty/cars I dunno.
slybunda Posted 31 August Author Report Posted 31 August Yes mines a year 2000 reg. I bought it in 2013 and it had surface rust underneath but no holes or weakened metal. Cavity wax is the main one to get on it, stops it rusting from the inside out. Will see how the wheel arches hold up, if the coating comes off I may switch to noxudol 900 or 1600
