corollakid
Guys, the power steering grille on my 99 gen 6 is extremely rusty as you would expect on an item mounted in front of the radiator exposed to all sorts of debris and weather on a 23 year old car and if it should leak it would lead to power steering failure and rack and who knows what else. It seems it wasn't fitted to JDM models, so my question is has anyone else had problems with theirs and can the power steering be bridged out at the tank and if so I can change the fluid at the same time. Your advice would be appreciated .......... Stu.
Old Red Celica
Our one had a stone strike. I sealed it with Araldite. Gave it a clean with emery cloth and painted it with satin black aerosol paint.

slybunda
Yes some people have done the bypass for the power steering cooler pipe. However these can be got brand new for 50 quid from ebay. Power steering fluid gets the crap kicked out of it so when my pipe went i replaced with new one. Dont want to risk the pump getting bust.
