Good Celica TSport Garage/Mechanic Staffs Area Please

Hello all, Does anyone know a decent garage or mechanic that knows their way around a Celica TSport please? I live in Penkridge which sits in the centre of Cannock, Stafford and Wolverhampton near junction 13 of the M6.

Bearing in mind it has been going to a Toyota dealership nearby for service/mot since I have owned the car you would think it might pass an MOT when it has just been serviced. Yet it seems to fail on something that has been missed on the annual service every time. Add to that they have tried to charge me twice for a new battery in 6 months as the first one fitted failed, luckily I had the original invoice in my pocket that day to prove it had only been on the car for 6 months. They also tried charging me for fitting new wiper blades when I had fitted new Bosh ones all round a week before it went in for service/mot. The Bosh ones were still on and had not been changed so apparently this was a mistake and then taken off the bill. Hence someone good for service and MOT in my area would be much appreciated, thanks...

I can recommend someone, but you're looking at 50 miles each way, about 70 minutes drive away from you up the A38.

I know this is an older feed but I'm looking for a mechanic to work on my mk7 with engine noise.

My mechanic is not a Gen 7 engine specialist. However, he is an excellent mechanic (as opposed to what I would call a "fitter", who works at a main dealer). I've known Kev since the early 60's, he has approaching 50 years experience working on all marques, and can be trusted to do a good job at a very fair price. I should mention he is not VAT registered, so that's 20% off the bill for starters. He's worked on quite a few club members cars over the years, so is familiar with the Gen 7. How much engine work..I don't honestly know.

One current member who will only use Kev for repairs is SlickCelica.

I called in to see him yesterday morning, to book one of my cars in, so I know he is fully booked for this month.

If you want to give him a call, it's K. H. Motors on 01773 714450 8.30 to 5 Monday to Friday. Location is five minutes from M1 J26, or 15 minutes from A38/M1 J28.

HTH :)

Thank you! Out of interest, is he linked to K H motors in Uttoxeter?

No, Kev has worked for himself for almost as long as I can remember.

He is a fan of Jap cars, and has owned a Civic Type R, and Impreza Wagon recently, and is running a Suzuki Swift Sport which I saw for the first time yesterday.
