andyt
Don't know if anybody is aware but you can now check mot history of a car on GOV.UK. going back 10 years. Ideal if your looking at a second hand car. Surprising what you find.

Ideal if your looking at a second hand car. Surprising what you find. I've been using this for quite a while now, Andy....a very handy "tool" to have and often cuts through the sellers bullsh1t to expose some nasties.! Time and again I've seen what appear (and described) to be "mint" cars only to find a list of worrying advisories (or previous failures) that will need potentially expensive attention....or at the very least suggests that the vehicle hasn't perhaps had the care it should have. I note that quite a few cars now are pictured with the reg, plate obscured in some way...wonder why.??? Neil
CheltGirl
Yes, I've been using it too. I've seen a number of Gen 5s recently that have obviously been on SORN (or illegal) for years before the seller suddenly puts it up for sale and waxes lyrical about it... Obviously didn't love it that much did they, or they would have been driving it
