So i went for a dyno run today. Pretty happy with the results considering its 13 years old and at 104k miles.

Got told i was running a wee bit lean, cleaned the maf and noticed no change, so he thinks the maf might be slowly dying.

Good result all in, probably pretty close to what it had from factory. I assume it's been kept well serviced in order to keep it that way?

Seeing torques measured in Ft-lb really highlights how feeble the 2zz-ge is, 140 ft-lb is just about enough for a 3/4" diameter bolt!

That is pretty good mate, where abouts did you get it done? I want to see what mine puts out.

Haltech in Bonnybridge, the guys are brand new highly recommend them

Ever since I've owned it I change the oil every 5k miles and keep on top of maintenance the best I can. Im really happy with the result I was expecting a lot lower

Ahhhh torque doesn't mean squat

Yeah - it's not all torque :D

Proof that a car doesn't necessarily lose power with age, just as long as it's kept well serviced.

Haha, I know it's not about torque at all with these engines, but it does put it into perspective when you the figures.

Hee hee bhp is bragging rghts ...torque is true test of real POWER :)

Torque is king. The Rickshaw has 335bhp, but a general modern (healthy) 2.0tdi with 150bhp will hold it off in low rev acceleration all day long............ I'm sorry to say :P

True that. A 2.2 cdti civic will stay with a type r up to about 45 mph then the extra revving power takes over.

I rest my cases lol

Ive got 225 of those horse things at the wheels ...

But

I much prefer those 235 torques lol

That being said; Torque = drivability / Horsepower = a twitchy choccy starfish adrenaline rush. :D

That's why I brought a Celica.
