Is there different types of fluid for certain cars or is it generic stuff that can be used in any car?
ams
You probably wont find any labelled as power steering fluid in most places, Automatic transmission fluid, ATF is the same.

mooney6000
Power steering fluid is a type of hydraulic oil, usually mineral based. Most modern Transmission oils are branded as transmission and power steering fluid, since they are essentially the same, with the Celica ATF, automatic transmission fluid or specific power steering fluid can be used. Hope this helps (Y)

planc
You need ATF Dextron type II for a hydraulic rack like ours. You can get different types of PAS fluid for electric pumps and such.
