celica and snow

It's just not worth the risk IMO, even if you have winter tyres on your own car, it only takes one idiot who hasn't to crash into your car, and since most of our cars on getting on these days (Gen 6 and older) most would end up getting written off for minor damage)

This

In the snow we had the other year I was in a q of traffic when the driver two cars in front panicked coming up to a corner. Causing the driver in front of me to do a emergency stop. Causing me to stop...just. As I came to a stop looked in my rear view mirror to see a golf gti about to rear end me.

Luckily for some reason I left my old gt4 at home that day and was in my old mondeo.

celica is ok in the snow.....not brilliant ;)

if you must drive be careful and always think ahead kyles point above is proof, he left enough room so that he stopped before hitting the car in front but the guy behind didn't

You really want to try a 90hp 3.5ton rear wheel drive transit if you think you Celica's are naff. It has the ability to sit and spin without snow and ice!

what are you saying man!!! transit vans are the best thing to drive in the snow, especially empty :P

I am v glad to have a GT-Four in the white stuff again, have had no problems getting about while others slip & slide or get stuck, where-as my mondeo was useless in the snow 2wd and at the front made it almost impossible to get anywhere in snow/ice.

Used to be able to get about in my previous 2wd celicas though, but each year is different levels of snow etc..

But am surprising people as they obviously don't realise i have 4wd!

I apologise that she's not the cleanest, she's getting a spring spruce up on Saturday/Sunday :-) I'm not keening the deep stuff purely because I don't like using the front bumper as a plow!

This was my old winter toy :-)
