Nothing exotic unfortunately Spaff. I handed over my 107, celica and my Mrs 108 for another 108.

She has the 1.2 VTi engine in her current one and it is shocking for crawling in traffic. (great for a car designed for city driving) she loved the way the 107 drove bit didn't want to sacrifice on the benefits the 108; so went for the 108 with the same 1 Litre toyota block from the 1st generation Ago/ C1 / 107's.

At least if you close your eyes it sort of sounds like a V6, sort of.

Sorry mods for the heresy pic [love you!]

Please don’t tell me mate that you took that photo at a car meet ;)

Technically not on my Celica (yet), but I've been sanding down my authentic TRD bumper in an effort to make me save some money to get it painted along with my JDM wings.
Also got some goodies to fit to it when it's all done, some absolutely immaculate TRD yellowy-purpley fogs, JDM indicators and a nice (fake) carbon fiber number plate bracket. Can't wait for this all to be painted and fitted!!2e28e38d8caeb6313850aa627861f065.jpgb2525f50b18584162ddbd910ea1fad71.jpg

Induction kit fitted this afternoon. Gotta say in my opinion this definitely tidies up the look of my engine bay a little 5e87375bff8ceb9ca3ce5a90dfb668f9.jpg&key=10eac43273ba7900e90fabc5541f5ccf903a8a0c73c5efe7e322d58cd09ce4dc

It certainly does! [emoji106]
I went a step further and made a custom aluminium cover to tidy it up even more. 1c2523824c03879e2663e441413175c5.jpg

Looks like an illusion. But the cover makes the filter appear further away from the engine, which is always nice for a RAM .

I know what you mean actually! To help a bit more cold air get to the filter, last night I installed an air duct from the front bumper to just underneath the filter. Not sure how effective it will be, but dedinitely can't hurt [emoji16] IMG_20190627_220351.jpg

I love it; I would be interested to see how it responds. By the way; I have a AEM brand CAI intake hit for mine with the DENSO sensor and old pipercross panel filter if you want it. It's 2nd hand but I never put it on my car; I'd rather help another Celica brother out.

I wouldn't charge you for it.

That looks really good but be careful.

I did the same thing on a a Hyundai coupe but if there is a lot of rain or deep puddles do what I did and disconnect it from inside the engine bay just in case.

Well I went out last night and had a fast drive for a bit, lift seemed to respond a bit bitter, but that may have been a placebo because I was excited to drive it [emoji23]

Are you sure mate? That would be awesome!
If so, I'll happily cover postage costs, or I could pick it up if you're not too far away.

Thanks for the advice mate, I'll definitely keep that in mind! But hopefully we'll have some nice weather for a while! [emoji14]

I hoovered her out, Stripped all the plastics out in the back to tighten a nut on my light. whilst they were off I put a hole into then and fitted trim bits to make the hole pretty ready for the rear brace to be fitted tomorrow. I then reorganised my boot.

Oh and I got a free can of WD40. It was wedged between the inner and outer skin behind the alarm siren. looked like it had been there a while haha!

She is getting a wash tomorrow along with some prep ready for track in a couple of weeks.

  • 2 weeks later...

Painted some engine plastics

Maybe I should of used grey primer and not white... They look more pink than red in this picture.

But, this is just the base. Assuming I can pull off what I am going to try with these. Got it to work once so far out of a lot of attempts but running out of time so need to do it this week.

Of course, if it doesn't work then these plastics will be ruined and I will need to buy some more for the next attempt :(

Hmmm, not seen any red primer. This red is lighter than I wanted but I'm hoping it won't matter when I'm done... Hoping
