Hi, this was my message to you on July 11th. Dismantled rear brakes yesterday. Discs, pads, sliders and pins are all in good working order and there is some friction to the discs when pedal is pumped. I drove the car again and the pedal still travels to the floor. There is definitely no air in the system. Do you think it's the master cylinder now please?

Hi, I have now had a chance to look at the pistons and I have photos but they are too big to attach here. Can I email them to you please?

They all moved freely and I cleaned off any small amounts of dirt and corrosion, before pushing them back into place. All sliders are free and moving, pins are cleaned and greased and retaining clips refitted, so pads are wearing evenly on rears and discs are hardly scored.

I again bled the system and checked all hoses for damage and bulges, they are all fine. I then tested the brake pedal. Pumped it with engine off and held it and it sank away to the floor. I then tested with engine running pumped pedal and held it and it sank away to the floor. Then on test drive pedal sank to floor.

Could this be the ABS pump? If so what is the solution? Or could it be the master cylinder?
