  1. I passed my test in 2013. And I the only things I can drive is a car (so not a pick up but I can a 4x4) and up to a 125cc motorcycle. I'm not allowed to drive anything considered a truck or a van and I'm also not allowed to tow.

Back of licence codes I have are AM and B

Double check there license is ok to tow. Alot of people have been caught out by the rule change due to parents thinking they know the law.

  2. I'm going to cheat here, as it's the only thing I actually have on my phone of my exhaust. It blew serval years ago just as i was coming past Manston Airport from a very long drive from Wembley.

It was silly loud around town but I enjoyed it for a week or two before getting it replaced
Sounds good. I might have to do a drive by one now.

Such a clean sound, not like my angry abusive bitch. You can really tell when money has been spent.

  3. Mine are on 17s. They are pretty good. Alot more comfortable then 205/45 and grip is a little better in the corners, but grip from 0 to go is a lot better, I don't tend to get wheel spin with 215 (no tc on my car) but I did while I had 205s.

  4. I never think of Halfords. I do for tools, batteries, bulbs and cleaning supplies but not there service centers. And I have never used kwik fit because the one near me was ran by a desk jockey who was implying I was an idiot (half true but still didn't like it

  5. I know a lot of people use black circles for tyres but if you look on black circles website and see a price then go find the garage you wish to go to and go to there own website you may find the tyres cheaper.

I just brought 4x 215/45/17 avons and saved £6 per tyre (£24 cheaper) by going to the garages website directly instead of going through black circles.

  6. The image shows how much celica parts and cars (only 1 car was sold for £725) which works out that all of us owners have spent about £21377.68 in 7days :o

I can even see how many of the items sold and for how much.

Im not sure if i like this or not, it seems a bit intrusive but at the same time i cant help but search for other things.

    Whats your thoughts on this?

  7. Hey all.

So 2 weekends ago I removed about 10kg - 20kg of weight from my boot. I was get about 200-230 miles to a tank. Now I have emptyed my boot I have got 250 miles and still a quarter of a tank left. I knew that reducing weight improves mpg (and speed :D ) but I never knew it was to that extent.

I think next up is remove the back seats and strip the sound system out and I may see 300 miles to a tank.

  8. I tend to use foam filters like pipecross or ram Air filters. There the least restrictive but quite good a filtering out the crap plus makes the best noise :D.

I did quite a bit of research on them for my modded bettle. (paper/fabric filter) K&n are the most restrictive but has the best cleaning/filtering quality and jetex (I don't know if you can get one for the celica) is the least restrictive.

But foam always produced more power (on paper)

Final work on the old Celica completed this week, dropped the front and rear subframes out ready for disassembly to be sent away for blasting, powdercoating and the obligatory full poly bush treatment. These will be put on the shelf built with all new bolts ready for a quick change out if required. One of the reasons I bought my old road going celica back was I knew it had been looked after and that in general componants were in good condition, rear subrame was i fine fettle and will make for a nice build. So the rest of the Celica, shell and bits and pieces will be off the scrap yard in due course to make way for the new addition to the MSDT stable.

It is with great pleasure that in a very short period a car that needs no introduction here will be joining the team to be built into a fully fledged MSA race car. We will we welcoming very warmly 'Moo'.

[/url] Plans are loose at the minute but she will be built to the same specification as the car we campaigned in 2018, to what extent I can I am going to preserve some of the 'Mooness' to pay homage to the time, effort, money and love Matt has poored into her over the years. It is expected she will be campaigned in 2020 by my Dad who I am building the car for, although he doesnt know it yet, shhhhhh.

Moo was a good base on which to start a build, findametnally she has all the bits and pieces that I would have otherwise had to source and take time fitting. Of course she will receive the full parts strip down and rebuild to ensure she's race ready. Looking forward to picking her up somewhere late February.

More exciting times ahead for MSDT
