  1. Hi Crazy Cat Lady,

I'm in desperate need of a rear sub frame for my Celica 190 gen 7, I read your post with removing your old one, would it be possible to refurbish the old one and would you consider selling it?

    cheers

      Hi Iggsy,

my original rear subframe is now the property of the garage owner that did the work for me.

The last i'd heard is he's sent both my original subframes to his Dad's place [somewhere in North Wales] for bead blasting and powder coating.

The problem is; the garage owner is reluctant to sell them on without fitting it to a car.

A couple of people have already asked me about it, and ^ was the outcome.

However, i believe that even if you find a good enough donor rear subframe it will cost you £70 plus cleaning it up and painting [however you go about it] will cost more. so maybe just as well to buy a new one which i believe is around a couple of hundred quid.

Have you asked your local Mr.T if they can supply, and how much?

      Hi Debs,

Thanks so much for your message, I have just ordered a refurbed one from North Wales ironically ,maybe it was your garage owners dad lol..

So its coming up to to Scotland with camber arms, bolts, blasted, painted, £375 yes £375 ...

Hopefully if I can get my old one off I can refurb that and get some of my money back. Or leave it in the shed as an appreciating asset, probably be worth more than gold in ten years !

      Regards

      Iggsy
