  2. Like others said, I think it depends what the crash has done to your car underneath the body panels as to whether it is worth keeping. The repair/body shops that these insurance companies use charge a fortune to do the work, so even if you have a very small scrape, they factor in the cost of the vehicle/age etc and then the cost the repair/body shops charge and go by that. Sometimes it is best to just get the car back from the insurer and source the parts yourself and take it to some other good repair/body shop of your choosing if you really want to keep the car. In fact most of the time, the very same repair/body shops will do the work for half of what they originally would have charge doing it through your insurance. That might be worth doing if the car is special to you, but remember it will always be tagged as written off in your documents.
  3. Do you have some insider knowledge? work for Toyota?
  4. Negative one depending on your view of hairdressers lol. The classic "Hairdressers car" muttered as I drove by some young scally getting into a Civic, but apart from that nothing ever. I get loads of compliments mainly saying how new it looks. Also as someone else said, a few none car people seem to think it is a new model Toyota occasionally.
  5. No doubt I am late with this, but I will throw it out there anyway for those who missed it. http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/hma_6_9_16
  6. Does anyone know where I can buy one? I see there is a possibility the Lotus one fits? Cheers
  7. If it is mint with that mileage, it is probably the right price.
  8. I'd get rid and get a 190, miles more fun and cheap.
  9. Yeah, that does look nice. I think I will either go gold, or gloss black as it matches my colour scheme.
  10. Hello. I am looking at changing my wheel colour from the rather common gun metal to something different. My car is a red Celica GT with OZ ultralegerra. I was thinking of gold, but am finding it hard to find a paint code/colour that looks good in none sunny/light conditions. Has anyone out there and recommendations for colour with the possibility of a colour code. Anyone who has sprayed gold etc? Cheers
  11. I try to clean mine every weekend during winter. Spray it down, and spray underneath.
  12. Happy 2 Anniversary teamdoa!

  13. The GT86 is a great base for upgrading parts to a awesome track car. The trouble is it is too new at the moment so prices are high, but when the price falls I think they will be really popular. It just seems like the perfect base for upgrading.
  14. The GT86 looks really good with the full on TRD kit or Aero. The base ones look really really boring. I would love the Aero, but would definitely need to spend more £ on engine mods to improve its performance as its looks just don't match its performance in its normal guise.
  15. I never used lift in 1st. It is a surefire way of wreaking your engine.
  16. I never really understood the appeal of this sort of stuff. I guess there is some skill in getting the perfect gear change, but can't anyone just go out and buy a faster can anyway. All you are doing is putting your foot on a pedal and going in a straight line.
  17. Happy 1 Anniversary teamdoa!

  18. Lol, I think you just described me really in the original post...SCARY! ...apart from the bit about red lining it
  19. I will be upgrading to coilovers and buying new brakes and driving it.
