  1. Happy 2 Anniversary 4jw!

  2. hp i think is a little redudant to spectulate for our cars. there's not really that much! servicing regularly(moreso if youre smashing it) keeps it from loosing as fast but celicas are actually light cars which go well for handling. someone told me we are lighter than the integra and those things handle really well. i kept up with them on tracks with my sports m and our cars take corners well. not amazingly for straights so no need to worry about hp if the car is working and well maintained. just enjoy the corners!
  3. Yh, that's the hardcore way of doing it. Works for me, You just need a lot of runway! Your's are bigger but I still welcome you to the yellow club mate. Good work with your car
  4. if you want to do it properly like a race car: find a long dual carriage way or motorway at NIGHT. Accelerate to 70mph then brake all the way to 15mph, then soon at you're there accelerate again to 60mph and back down to 15mph and so on until you accelerate from 20 to 10. at that point, just get back to 70 and drive normally to let it COOL ( TRY NOT TO TOUCH THE BRAKE FOR THE NEXT 5-10 MINUTES). Doing this will run your pads and disc in 1 go and leaves a fine layer of pad material on the disc which will also help breaking. repeat a second time if necessary and just to confirm that the brakes are really doing it for you! PS: try to do that after 50 miles just to get rid of the coating on the discs first.
  5. Happy 1 Anniversary 4jw!

  6. Never been stopped for my decat and straight through. Been stopped for everything else under the sun tho...
  7. Never too loud! It's like saying you agree to much or I won't like anymore for free, absurd!
  8. Made sense that the oe optimized for city driving and also proves the lack of kick moving from SRI to oe box
  9. what do you guys think? he's a clever lad and ive learnt a hell of a lot from him. comprehensive answer to which intake? http://www.carthrottle.com/engineering-explained-cold-air-intakes-vs-short-ram-intakes/
  10. Screw it, I was never a fan of the stock seats anyway! I've opted for welding on some new subframes to make way for aftermarket seats. What can a driver side GT seat fetch? Also, to save distress, I am aware I need a 3x4 metal plate to weld to the chassis before welding that to the subframes.
  11. That's well beyond me to produce sadly thanks for the help.
  12. you got me beat! thats youngness and milage! very impressive. be sure to service her regularly!
  13. thanks for the reply! i'll look into it.
  14. 23, staff trainer at nandos(no, it;s not as good as it sounds but yes, i get very well fed and i graze like a cow!) i finished my sports coaching degree and graduating in a few weeks but actually hopnig to be doing some kind of driving job as its the main hobby i engage in outside my many copious and relentless hours of work to pay for my property , car and their maintenance. aside from one member ive met, i believe i a one of the youngest owners!! im still learning and have much of it to do but with my zzt231 as my 3rd car and an mx5 project with a friend coming up (no im not homosexually orientated and yes, the project partner is male) i think im headed the right way
  15. i was in a rush, trying to fit my seat back in before work and STUPIDLY, sheered a bolt going into the chassis(14mm seat frame bolts). the worst thing is, i tried the other good bolts which wouldnt thread (gives resistance). considering that the bolts going into the rear seat buckles are hardened and have the same size head, can i not try to use them to rethread the hole? i know i should get it tapped but is it possible for a 14mm bolt holes? also, what other solutions do i have?
  16. Tasty interior! This is my suede rebuffed Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  17. i second the "dont ebay it" senitment. i had to do some simple but irritatingly ugly rewiring as a result of my boss kit not being built to standard in every sense of that phrase. as with everything, dont skimp
  18. a d1spec weighted neo coloured knob. it sits a little high but my little finger wraps around that gap which i find very comfortable so as with all my mods, functional! would also recommend a poly bush front engine miount with it. delightfully smoother shifts
  19. had mine 3/4 of a year, made 7k and shes seen some places! been to a couple of car shows too so im very happy with her
  20. i only nicked my neighbours bumper, taking like a hairline of paint off his and onto mine and i was compelled to knock and apologize! i guess for every honest person, there is an asshole
  21. leather is great for longevity but hate the feel love alacantra, moreover suede, but it wears faster. def feels better but that's my opinion
  22. I would a argue that they are alright. Mine were stock from 0-111,000 and bar sidewall scrapping, they are remarkably straight. There is, I admit, 1 dent per rim which preventsme saying that are 100% straight but I never noticed it. I was also being meticulous as I would hate for the buyer to be kept in the dark. Btw my GT stock rims are still for sale! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk I'll add that these dents are tiny and I had to rotate the wheel a few times on the balancing machine to find them Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
