  2. Happy 2 Anniversary Antilochi!

  3. I used a dremel to get mine off, made it easier to get to with less sparks
  4. Here you go http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251198345904?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I used the 200 for the main filter and the 400 for the outlet
  5. I made one for my car out of an ebay catch can and some metal filter mesh. Made a seal around where the top bolts down with some Loctite 5910 - left over from doing the rocker cover, then placed a sheet of filter mesh between and cut to shape. Also made a feeder tube for the inlet pipe to go through the mesh to make sure the maximum filtration takes place. also added a finer mesh over the outlet to make sure everything was picked up before going back through the throttle body This was before i added the filters to the can - was in use for a couple months, about 2k miles as you can see both the outlet and inlet had mayo on - the pipes were just as bad Gasket around top of catch can Breather pipe on inlet, mesh on outlet and gasket around edge Main filter mesh fitted - also added some loctite to around the inlet pipe to make a seal between the mesh and the pipe Finished article Can fitted - AFAIK gen 5 and 6 engines run slightly different crankcase breather pipe positions, but as mentioned just take that pipe out and replace with new hose with catch can in the loop After checking the can a couple of months after adding the filters, it was a ot cleaner and the outlet pipe was nice and clean Think total cost was around £45 - 25 for the can, 5 for couple of different grade sheets of mesh, 10 for new hose,5 for some jb weld for the pipe...
  6. was giving a friend a lift home earlier today, both windows down and drove by a group of kids. Friend turned round and said "I'm sure i heard one of them say 'nice car'" to which i replied "No doubt, i get it a lot" with a smile on my face
  7. Nice one, Closest i've had to that was when i finished work and saw a lass i know sitting outside looking a bit upset. Went over to talk to her and after a while offered her a lift home - was 11.30pm. She declined before asking what i was driving. I pointed over to my car and she turned round and said that she had been looking out for who owned it. She then decided to change her mind about that lift P.S. She was and still is in a relationship and i was just being a gent that night
  8. I'm sure the police would love to get involved if you told them " i Knew you weren't going to be interested, so i killed the guy as compensation..." What is the point in reporting a crime when the enforcement isn't even there?
  9. Pretty sure if the guilty party has accepted fault and the insurer refuses to pay out, then the insurer is breaking the law = possible for them to be shut down Really unlucky with that one, but at least you've managed to sort most of it out. Would advise reporting as - like others have said - may tie into more reported crimes and lead to someone getting caught
  10. Happy Anniversary Antilochi!

  11. no problem. got a spreadsheet on my computer to work it all out for me. Saves so much hassle. ideally you want to aim for +/-3% but it's not that big a problem really. Also remember that the car will be covering that percentage more distance than the tach reads
  12. providing your speedo was reading correctly with the 215/40/17's, there would be a +6.65% speed change, so when your speedo is reading 60 mph you would actually be travelling 64 mph. Apart from having to watch your speed, you should be fine
  13. finished work the other day and a mate was sitting outside feeling sorry for herself so went and kept her company for a bit. went and offered her a lift home as it was raining and she declined before asking which car was mine. she soon changed her mind about the lift once she knew which car it was she said that she had been watching to see who owned it
