Haha! Brilliant! He's just a knob who clearly knows nothing about cars, obviously. Unless it's a vxr I wouldn't touch an Astra with a barge pole and now I've had a celica I'd be hard pushed to touch one of those!

You know, when I told my dad I was buying my motor I neglected to mention it was a Celica, I just told him it was 14 years old, had well over 100k on the clock and he said 'What the hell?!?' When I told him it was a Celica GT, just like the last Celica he owned, he said 'Oh, forget I said anything'. His last motor was a 1994 Landcruiser VX 4.2 straight 6 diesel with 345k on the clock when he sold it, and the only thing wrong with it was the u/j's were about knackered on the prop. I say enjoy it! That's what it's there for!
