Right i've had a look at that diagram you sent to my email, planc, and where the diagram says the sensor should be, there's nothing. I've got my handbrake next to the drivers seat, then an ash tray next to that and behind them both is the junk compartment. Here's a picture to show you. Was the diagram definitley for a gen 6 1997 GT? Planc, can ya email me that diagram you mentioned? Just So i know where this sensor is. So the gen 6 facelift GT definitely comes with an internal sensor for the alarm which covers windows being smashed. I suppose there's one way i can find out. Ill leave the widow half down, arm the alarm, wait a minute and stick my arm into the car. And Hope it goes off.

So is it the block that has a red light that flashes when the alarm is armed Cause i can see that which is near the handbrake. But i thought that was just a light to say the alarm is armed. And in another picture im pointing at the LED that flashes to let people know there's an alarm in the car. But thats all i can see. I cant see any sensors guys.

Mate I couldn't tell you if i got a facelift one or not. If you tell me how to check then i can tell ya. I know its got something to do with the front lights aint it?

Oh ok. I've never noticed it. Lol. So the 1 sensor, will that just cover the drivers side or will it cover windows at both sides?

You know something, i haven't noticed or thought to look there as i always thought sensors were placed up high on the windscreen pillars. When i get home Wednesday ill check. Lol

Oh right. Whats the difference between the 2 mate? From what i think i know, supersonic are the one's that detect movement inside the car. Like at the windows. What do ultrasonic sensors do and where is this located on the UK GT? Sweet.

Don't know what section to ask a question about alarms under, so thought this would be the best place for it. I've got a standard alarm system on my gen 6 GT already but it's only got the door and boot triggers. It don't have any supersonic sensors in the car. Is it possible to buy some supersonic sensors and wire them into the existing alarm system and just mount them on the windscreen pillars inside?

Mate i feel your pain. Coming back from a nice weekend away i passed a gritter on the motorway and it wasn't til a couple of days ago I've noticed its near enough sand blasted the two front splitters that tom had put on. Now gotta get them sprayed again.

Cheers for the warm welcome guys. I can tell already im gunna have a right crack on here. The banter seems quality. LOL. Although im new to this whole smiley faces and peeping behind sofa things. So ill just stick to normal text. Or will try and add some in everynow and then. As for the spacers. Someone nicely sent us a link to some on ebay but are from the states. With postage, for 2 sets of spacers im looking at $160. Thats a bit out of my range. Ill try and find some in the UK that i can afford.

Ill have to double check again. But I'd still prefer to get some off someone from here. 50 quid a pair brand new. Lol.

Yeah? You reckon? I thought that when i first saw the pictures. But then i started reading tom's thread on the car and it wasn't until he mentioned spacers on there, that i noticed it could do with some. But like ya say, it don't matter if i can't get any but if i can it'll be a bonus. But i aint paying shop prices for some. Lol. Another thing, bare with us as i try to explain this. Brand new one's just come with the spacers. But won't i need the spacers as Well as threaded stud to come off the spacers to go through the wheels? Brand new one's don't come with these studs. Which is why i think ill need to get second hand one's that have had the studs attached to them. Make sense?

Cool. Cheers mate. And the spacers im after are 20mm hub centric's. They're 50 quid rep pair brand new but that don't come with extended wheel bolts which i think ill need. So am just gunna Hope that someone on here has some up for grabs. Yeah exactly. Nice and subtle but nice looking at the same time.

Briano- So not got some sort of tuning shop mate? You do exhaust systems and induction kits? If not, what sort of stuff you do?

My plan is to only have it til next summer. Hopefully then ill be able to afford a four. So between now and then my plans are nice and simple. Just gunna stick to putting an induction kit on it and a cat back exhaust system. And also some spacers for the wheels. Does anyone know anyone selling two pairs of spacers? Im gunna put a post on the wanted section too.
