  4. Hey mate don't get down with it i was the same with mine a few weeks ago. Got it all sorted now and im loving it. Even if the motor is seized an engine swap is not that hard and deffo a cheaper alternative to a scooby.
  5. I've got two of these in my shed if you want one drop me a pm you're more than welcome to one.
  6. Glad its sorted mate. Let me know what you wanna do about the short ram? I can stick it in the post for you or if you can get over to mine i will fit it for you.
  7. The worse ones when i did mine and Chris's was the 19mm on the bottom of the rear shocks they were silly tight but as you have stated bit of brute force and they was off lol.
  8. Due to the fact that it would have been a 60mile tow. The offer was there for Rob to leave his car at my parents house which was only a couple of miles away and i would have fitted a rad for him if he got one sent to me. It was Robs choice to have the car towed by the aa. We did stay with him after the meet for a couple of hours to make sure that he was sorted. No lack of club spirit here.
  9. Well took mine in this morning and got the result i wanted. A big pass with no advisorys said the car was perfect and looked really well looked after wicked. :D :D
  10. Dragon queen may have won but think meks loaf is far better quality lmao
  11. Mines nearly at 160000 now burns oil like its going out of fashion has the odd rattle every now and again but still gets hammered almost every time it goes out. If it goes bang then phone Mr Ams get another engine fit it and bobs your uncle job done. Just make sure you keep putting oil in and it will be fine.

  13. Gen 7 springs are easy to do did both of our cars in a day the second one only taking around 3 hours from start to finish. As for specialist tools all that is needed is spring compressors. I also think as Serratia said that the rears could be done without removing the drop links. P.m me if you are interested in me doing them for you not far from you.
  14. Ive gone from a 300bhp impreza to a gen 7 140 and to be honest i can have just as much if not more fun in the celica. Dont get me wrong the impreza was an awesome car but the gen 7 is now starting to feel just as much fun. Add to that one of the worse points of the scooby was putting fuel in every other day. If you are worried about it not being fun to drive then get one, do a few mods and drive it, best to regret something you have done than something you never did. Other problem is its impossible to speed anywhere now so the quicker cars are not as much fun as you spend most of your time looking for the plod. P.S thats just my opinion
  15. I got my apex from larkspeed paid £94 Inc vat cheapest place I could find and believe me I tried everywhere.
