  5. Hi guys, needing some advice regarding fiberglass trd replica sideskirts. I originally bought them from Cravo as a sort of "project" and have finally decided I need to do something with them now. Pics of them can be found in the original for sale thread here http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/143558-gen-7-trd-replica-skirts-c-one-replica-scoop/ But just after some advice as Ive always found it too easy to pay out for getting things onto the car and really want to atleast try these myself. They do need some repair in places so Im guessing I will need a fiberglass repair kit amongst other things. Obviously due to my car being chilli red I will need to remove the yellow and repaint them. So just wondering if anyone has got a step by step or any advice really? Thanks Alex
  6. Yeah its happened within 2 weeks so not good. Erm is there a guide on how to do that do you know? Alex
  7. Hiya, Got a reply back from them saying that because they are closing for Christmas it will be sorted in the new year. They did say however it will more than likely be a replacement part, in which case ill just sell it on here. Yeah need to look into it as I dont know too much about the other options but for sure cant be bothered with the CAI
  8. After months of having CEL TRC and VSC lights thrown up by the CAI and supposed damaged MAF, finally got round to fitting the replacement MAF sensor today. However after 2 weeks of not looking under the bonnet I found this: For today just shoved some duct tape around it just as a temporary fix as I need to go work soon and to stop any water getting into the engine. thought id go around the block for a quick drive see if it threw up the EML and what a big surprise it did. Going to email madmotors from where I got the CAI from and see what they can do. Best case scenario ill send it back get a new one and sell it on the club, really cant be bothered with all this hassle...maybe look to go short ram? /rant over
  9. Been the proud owner of a 2004 04 Chilli Red T-Sport now for about 15 months now. But am now looking for an s2000, unfortunately I will have to sell on the celica to do this. When she was last at toyota a couple of months ago she was at 90,000 so im guessing its about 90,800 something like that. Since owning the car all work has been carried out by Steven Eagell including its MOT and full service. It had new Toyo T1-R put on all round, along with new ebc red stuff pads and MTEC drilled and grooved discs. It has a AEM CAI kit fitted which was bought new at a cost of £200, can be left on or original put back on. Brand new toyota official mats and a brand new Alpine CDE-W235BT which will be left in the car. Apex 35mm lowering springs which will be left on the car, also old ones still have in the garage. Has a brand new Invidia N1 exhaust fitted aswell, cost in excess of £400 imported from the US. This can be left on the car or the original can be put back and then the N1 sold separately. New clutch fitted at something like 85,000 miles (off the top of my head cant remember exactly) all work and parts by Steven Eagell Toyota. 4250k halogen bulbs fitted to front sidelights, dipped beam and full beam. Now the bad points, the front has been peppered quite a bit like most celicas out there and due to it being a daily drive. There is a small amount of lacquer peel on the bumper just below the rear passenger brake light about 1" x 2" give or take. This is not a for sale post, nor am I definitely selling parts but just gauging a rough price of what shes worth. Thanks for reading. ALex

  11. Oh ok i will drop halek a pm then in a min. Yeah spoke to ams, top bloke...ordered 2 d-shaped hooks from him so asked him about the sony fascia and he said he will look into it for me? Also ben have you read the pm i sent you about doing the faux suede roof lining with a sun roof. Been speaking to martin for a while about doing it, and he suggested to ask you as he thought you had done the mod with a sunroof aswell And yes the ones i bought were total shite aswell Cheers Alex
  12. Cheers thanks for that glad to have her back. I supplied all the parts. So fitting cost and mot-retest was £159 so pretty happy with that
  13. After a couple of weeks of my gen 7 not being on the road went to Mr T to get the pads, discs and tyres all 4 corners changed and mot retest. Only other thing was headlight adjustment. But she is back on the road. They also had a GT86 in dark grey with the light silver stripes...Was freaking brilliant, seats were amazing and its even got lamborghini-esque buttons in the centre console. Lets just say I wish I had 25 grand in the bank :S Anyway quick photo from later today up near bromham, bedford
  14. Ah ok cool ill drop ams a pm in a minute. and mikey wow have to admit that looks like a really nice fit
  15. Ordered it monday night was on offer at the time at £196.97 and thats what shows up on my email invoice. So it must have been on offer when I bought it as theres no way id pay the £300 odd. Ah ok ill have a look see what these ones I ordered are like. But have you got a link to the sony ones mate? just in case
  16. Ah ok too late now as they're already dispatched. I'll have a look what theyre like once I've gkt the stereo which should be here Friday so will have a look then. Atleast if theyre a bad fit ill know why. And can get some prefacelift ones quickly
  17. Spent the last week looking at which one to get and finally settled with this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_868945 Was on offer though last night when I ordered so got it for only £195.00. So just gonna bluetooth my music across from my old iphone that i dont use for anything anymore that way ive got phone calls integrated into it aswell. Personally I liked this one the most over other double din units and I reckon it will suit the cars pretty much standard interior straight away. Couple of other units I looked at the buttons were a little too stretched.
  18. Hi guys Will be buying my new stereo this week and have been looking in to what I need. Im sorry if it is another repeat thread. I was looking at this: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/toyota-celica-mr2-spyder-double-din-car-cd-stereo-fitting-kit-fascia-wiring-p-9769.html I was also thinking because the stereo im looking at buying has a rear auxillary port of wiring the cable through into the top of the cubby hole in the centre console. Im gussing I will have to drill a hole in it to fit the cable through just wondering if theres any guides on how to do this. Cheers Alex
  19. Hmmm undecided now lol. Youre supposed to paint them whilst off the car completely. But when i did it on my grande punto and the 1st time on the celica i just left them on the car...just jacked up with the wheel off, didnt bother fannying around taking them off etc
  20. Hi guys. I painted the callipers a while ago, but with the crappy pads on before there was a lot of dust and its slowly built back up. So will be looking to repaint them. At the moment theyre painted red but im thinking of changing colour. I know that a lot of ferraris that are red have yellow callipers and the yellow ones have red. So just wondering if anyone has a pic of a chilli red with yellow callipers or could photoshop the above pic Cheers Alex
  21. Wondering if anybody knows whether camskill offer CCUK members any discount. I used them to buy my apex 35mm lowering springs and was quite impressed with their delivery. so now Im looking to buy 2 x Toyo Proxes T1-R from them if the price is right of course as ill need to get them fitted somewhere else. Cheers ALex
  22. Cheers guys sorted out an induction kit. Going to purchase a K&N Typhoon kit for around £170. I am however still looking to sort out my car mats, so either toyota ones or getting the ones i have sorted out instead. T Sport Screemer, had a quick look on ebay and couldnt find anything, have you got a link to them mate? Cheers Alex
  23. Hi guys, been on here for a while and have now just started to free up some cash. been talking to a few other members and beginning to get the modding bug. At the moment the car is standard except for likwidart infills, however looking into getting springs which RoryK has been kind enough to help me to fit them. But looking aswell for an induction kit for the gen 7, but dont really know where to start looking. also looking for someone perhaps on here or if anyone knows someone or a company who can embroid car mats and perhaps cut one down to size. I dont have the original mats, so would like to geting CELICA and the T Sport logo embroidered on them. the drivers mat top bit is too long and if it is straight then tit catches the peddles slightly so looking to perhaps get that trimmed down a bit. So yeah really just wondering if anyone can help really Cheers Alex
  24. Hi all, firstly just wanted to say what a pleasure it is to be part of such a great helpful and caring community. Was given so much advice and info on what to do cant really thank all you CCUK members enough. Unfortunately have been on a business conference in Northampton and barely had signal on my phone and the internet was dreadfully slow, although they did have dave on the in-room tvs so i was atleast able to keep watching top gear. But because of this havent been able to get on the forum pretty much since monday night i think. After much thinking decided to get it done at toyota just for the peace of mind really, I knew that she was in good hands with people who know what theyre doing and if ive got any problems then they are forced to help me really. After a couple of phone calls with them got them down to £500 which I know isnt great but again as i said above im happy to pay as I want the best care possible. Picked her up this evening about 5:30 from Bromham Toyota which were very good again and glad I went back to them. And although getting used to the new feel of the clutch is a slight pain I absolutely loved driving her again, felt like forever since id last revved it up to 8200rpm in lift. But again just wanted to say thanks for all the help youve given me
  25. Thanks for the advice guys. Erm also what about getting it somebody like Se7en. I know I would have to get the car up to him. But Ive heard good things about him. Would he possibly be able to do the work for me if anyone knows him.
