  3. No worries mate like i say would probs have a hard time letting it go anyway
  4. Haha why thank you i have been tossing back and forth with selling it for a while now to be honest...still dunno if i could let it go haha
  5. What exactly are you looking for and how far do you want to travel? I could persuaded to part with mine for the right price? PM me for more details if you are interested.
  6. Right ok so the set up on an ST is a little different to the pics but the principle is the same. There is a long bolt that holds the bottom of the alternator and that runs through a square block with two threaded holes in it, you need to look for a bolt (14mm head iirc) going into this block from the PAS reservoir side of the engine similar to where the pulley is in my picture. LOOSEN this bolt and the alternator will be free to move. You then need to take the rest of the tension from the belt by winding the long bolt (12mm head) going through the square block from the front of the engine (see picture as again it is similar) out. This will loosen the belt enough to remove it from the alternator pulley Wish i had a ST to make a quick vid with as it is hard to explain
  7. Find this bolt under the alternator. It is a nut on the 3S-GE and a bolt on the 7A-FE. This is the nut/bolt up close. And on the 3S-GE you undo the pulley nut but on the 7A-FE there is a bolt underneath the alternator pulley. Any other issues just ask
  8. Where abouts are you? I will get some pictures for you
  9. The aux belt is tensioned by a long bolt running underneath the alternator. You will first need to loosen another bolt going through the side of the tensioning block. This can be found under the alternator on the PAS reservoir side. Once you have loosened the locking bolt then you can wind the tensioning bolt out until you can remove the belt from the alternator pulley. The alternator pulley acts as the tensioner for the aux belt. Hopefully that makes sense but if not i can get some pictures for you
  10. Thing is the PAS belt is a V shaped belt and over time it will wear away, as the V wears down the friction co-efficient decreses and so even tightening the belt may not stop it from slipping. In my experience when a PAS pump is on it's way out then you either get less effective pumping and/or you will hear the bearing starting to rumble. Obviously i can't diagnose it properly without seeing the car but i know i would rather replace a £10 belt before jumping for a £100 pump
  11. If you can get hold of some (halfords or the like) try spraying some carb cleaner onto the belt while it is squealing on a cold morning. It will temporarily clean the belt. If the belt has a contaminant on it then it will slip. The squealing should stop after spraying the belt. Failing that i would just replace the belt unless you know when it was last done. Always start with the cheapest option and work up
  12. He did can't believe it still isn't in Blade!
  13. To be honest yes i would say so, the only trouble is they have been fitted but you may aswell try. Also i don't know why he is talking about caster as again that is completely fixed and can only change if you had knackered bushes. Again i don't understand the comment about changing them on a ramp as you still have to jack the car up off of a ramp (unless wheels free which is technically jacking the car up anyway). The bloke has NO idea what he is talking about. I buy all my parts from motorfactors to avoid the trouble with ebay sellers and the returns system and most of the time they work out the same price anyway.
  14. What a load if bo**ocks. The camber on the rear of the ST202 with Mcpherson strut is NOT adjustable therefore if the shocks 'give' camber then they are wrong. It is a shame you don't have the original shocks. Sounds like the seller is dodgy AF anyway given the way they replied defensively immediately.
  15. Pretty sure someone did do this (can't remember who) but it did look very good to be honest.
  16. Not sure where you might find those...could try aluminium tape? That stuff is extremely sticky and should do the same job?
  17. Sorry it was the two bolt holes that attach the strut to the hub that were the wrong distance from the strut itself. They were further out from the strut therefore the were pushing the top of the hub inwards giving the negative camber. Only way to fix it was fit the correct shocks. At the end of the day if it was after you changed the shockers there isn't much that can go wrong. The top mount will only sit in one way and the give in the mounting holes are not enough to give the required amount of movement. Even if you were to fit them while pushing the hub inwards at the top they should still be within toyota's original spec.
  18. I had to physically measure the mounting holes from the shock to find the difference, it looks exactly like mine did to be honest might be worth an hours work to whip them off and double check?
  19. Just my 2p but when i bought my GT it had massive negative camber, i replaced the rear control arms even to the point that i now have fully adjustable rear suspension however, in the end i found the shocks to be the culprit as the two holes that bolt the shock to the hub were the wrong offset and consequently causing the negatice camber so i would check that the shocks are correct
  20. Happy 4 Anniversary Ant Baker!

  21. have you lost any other lights on the dash at all? Door open light? Just a thought that it may be the 100A Alt fuse?
