  1. or maybe too many spelling mistakes?
  2. The TTE "Grandstand" alloy wheel is one type I've never come across, so I'm unsure if they take flat, or tapered nuts. As it's crucial the correct nuts are fitted, I strongly recommend you phone Toyota in Sheffield quoting one of the two different part numbers in the link below, for a definitive answer.. http://www.burrowstoyotaparts.co.uk/celica-accessories-c89.html
  3. Use an extendable wheel wrench, and you can tell when the nuts are tight enough. Absolutely no need to measure Nm. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extendable-Wheel-Brace-Wrench-Telescopic-Car-Van-Socket-Tyre-Nut-17-19-21-23mm-/141766936365?hash=item2101f7c72d:g:r60AAOSwHnFV69eM
  4. Spotted this relatively rare example while browsing what's on sale locally. Looks to be in good condition, with only the H/U changed. Priced about right IMO, and for anyone that isn't aware, the only one of the four colours that came with the electric sunroof. https://www.gumtree.com/p/toyota/2006-toyota-celica-vvt-li-gt-fsh-rare-sunroof-model-/1175647991
  5. Happy 12 Anniversary Kev 16v!

  6. IF the nuts with the rims do turn out to be alloy rather than steel, just go steady when tightening them up, and check they're still tight after 100 miles or so. As you say, best to wait and see what arrives
  7. Yes..it's M12 x 1.5, as per my link
  8. I have bought many sets of new rims over the last few years, and have never had alloy nuts supplied with them. They have all had this type of steel nut with the relevant spigot rings. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-of-16-M12-x-1-5-19mm-Hex-alloy-wheel-nuts-lugs-bolts-for-Ford-Cars-/151810327025?hash=item235899c1f1:g:rDMAAOSw~bFWGsn6 That is, of course, unless your new rims have small lug holes, and need the smaller "tuner" nuts.
  9. DOT4 was a tad over £2 for 500ml with the discount code at ECP the other day. For some strange reason it's cheaper to buy in that size bottle. I would have thought one litre should be sufficient.
  10. LTT in Harrogate will also be happy to give you expert advice.
  11. I have a brochure with nine different shades of leather for the Gen 7. I can't make out whether the colour used in the "Blue" is Sky, or Regal. Sky = GP63 Regal = 5458 HTH.
  12. Now let me think..what colour today?.. ..right..black it is
  13. No, no..both Darryl and myself wouldn't have suggested the choice of 7J or 7.5J otherwise. Pushing the wheels outboard slightly is what many owners on here do, as they do look a little "sunken" into the arches from the factory. I was merely pointing out that the wider of the two sizes, might save you some cash, IF you were thinking of buying some narrow spacers in the future.
  14. FYI..if you were to fit 7.5 width rims with ET35, it would push your wheels outboard by just over 9mm. Handy to know if you were considering fitting spacers (not that I'm advocating spacers personally).
  15. No problemo..and good luck in your search
  16. I don't see that it matters where the supplier is located, just shop on-line for the best price, and ring the one that has the rims you want at the cheapest price. Sometimes you will get a discount by offering to pay using a Debit Card, rather than the supplier incurring PayPal fees I saved £10 on a C/H boiler part on eBay a few weeks ago, by ringing the seller direct rather than B.I.N.
  17. I wouldn't order on-line. When I bought the Fox rims from Rimstyle, I asked for a discount, and they couldn't reduce the rims, but included delivery F.O.C. By ringing the supplier you can ask the stock situation, as well specifying ET35
  18. Absolutely My Summer rims (Fox Motorsport MS006 in Carbon Grey with polished rim) are very similar to the Wolfrace Asia-Tec, but if you go for the Wolfies, you want Offset/ET35, not 45.
  19. When you buy a new set of rims, you almost always get a set of tapered nuts (as well as spigot rings) as part of the package. You would need a new set of lockers, but most people wouldn't bother with changing the spare wheel size, so it matches the four road wheels. I really don't think it's worth spending the sort of money your talking about on the T Sport rims..go 17" new. Around here, it's £10 per wheel for fitting and balancing.
  20. Bought new in 2004, so 11.5 years now. Was possibly the most modified Gen 7 on first registration, so you can imagine my surprise on receiving an award for "Best Stock" earlier this month
  21. If these are the Team Dynamics rims as fitted to the pre face lift 140 with the "Sport" pack, send ams a PM http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/177446-17-team-dynamic-multi-spoke-wheel-1-or-2/#entry2254465
  22. I'm guessing a club members car..with the rear coilies wound right down
  23. That's one hell of a coincidence..I think I know this woman! IIRC, her name is Mandy/Amanda, or something like that..
