  1. Iv used these before for repairs to ABS modules, might be worth a shot https://www.ecutesting.com
  2. Slight corrosion on underside is considered pretty normal on a Jap car of this age, however, everyone’s view on what slight corrosion is does differ
  3. Get them to sign a receipt of sale (AA do one online that you can print off) do a copy for them and one for yourself, make sure you put the time on it so if they do get a ticket you have proof it was them. The v5 transfer can be done online as long as it’s between 7am-7pm, if it’s after then just do it next day. The new logbook is normally with the new keeper within a week, you’ll get a confirmation of vehicle transfer and any tax refunded. There is an option to have email copies of the logbook transfer sent to both parties online. Give them the v5/2 (green slip) as they’ll need it to tax the car, you can destroy the rest of the v5 but I always wait till Iv got the confirmation through the post just to be absolutely sure. Do none of the above until the funds have cleared into your account and make sure you check your account and not just going off their account that it’s been sent, if they’ve already transferred £150 then it should be recognised by your bank and the remaining funds should clear straight away.
  4. Martin can’t do anymore engine work till summer next year. No one else has come back to me but Tuning Developments have rebuild down as £3250 drive in/drive out
  5. Thanks Chris, Iv messaged Martin so see what he comes back with
  6. Who are the go to places these days for engine rebuilds? ST205 with low compression on 2 cylinders, not looking for forged (unless it’s cheaper that way!) just a standard rebuild. Thanks
  7. Right, you need to do a Jap vehicle check which is around £12 apparently. You then get an email back from them with all the info including the jap reg number. Then it’s a case of getting someone to make the plates up
  8. My cousin managed to get hold of the original Jap Reg number for his Evo and had plates made up. Il ask him how he went about it
  9. E10 is in my local Sainsburys now, I run my Jazz on it. Super unleaded’s, V Power etc is all E5 anyway so nothing changes for the performance cars
  10. Managed to find a clip of my old one in the archives lol
  11. I sold a set of these many many years ago for 400 with no tyres. Id stick them on eBay as they are personally.
  12. Have you tried rare rims, Rota stockists they have a lot of bronze wheels in many styles
  13. These wheels are 6.2kg in this size Because I picked up a wheel at random just to check caliper clearance, that wheel went on the other side when I put them on at the track,I always double check lol
  14. Mine are 15”, use them for track wheels on my Civic, stupidly light even with tyres on. I use Japan Racing JR7 for road, there lightweight as well.
  15. I got my Prorace 1.2’s from Demon Tweeks through eBay, keep an eye on there as occasionally they have big discounts. Mine should of been £650 got them for £350.
  16. It’s 220bhp no proof but feels like it cos it pulls like a train
  17. Pilot Sports generally aren’t much more expensive then F1’s so I would go for the Michelin’s given the choice. Iv got the Pilot Sport 3’s on the Civic at the moment, can’t fault them but 4’s are even better, had them on my old Impreza and are the best road tyre Iv ever used.
  18. Pilot Sports are the one for dry and wet weather, Eagle F1’s are also good. If it is wet then don’t use AR1’s would be my advice
  19. There probably won’t be a huge difference in price of tyres as 17” is more common than 16” Another thing for the list is to check your drive/fan belt, mine was squeaking a bit on my daily Yaris, just changed it today..... Caught in time
  20. My dad had this done to a shogun that he used to own, we even got it on cctv of them nicking it, less than 2 minutes from the car pulling up to driving off. There was a spate of cat converter thefts on 4x4’s in our area at the time, 5 got done in one street in one night
  21. Another option is to put it on axel stands if you’ve already got some, saves buying cradles
  22. When mine comes off the road over winter I do the following: Inflate tyres up to 40psi Put into gear Hand brake off Disconnect battery Put a couple of dehumidifiers in the car Every couple of weeks il take the car cover off for a few hours Every month il let the car roll a few feet to stop the brakes from sticking and to avoid flat spots on tyres, then the next month I'l roll it back again Mine is outside so somethings might not apply
  23. What’s the state of your battery? If it’s becoming weak it can cause all sorts of strange things to happen
  24. MR2 https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8161017010
  25. If it’s breathable and take it off every couple of weeks for a bit it’s fine. Iv only got one for mine cause it leaks in heavy rain lol
