  2. 50 yr old but still 21 at heart . Ive had this gen7 for nearly 9 years now . Shes my baby and always will be . Never let me down , well apart from a couple of batteries. 115k miles ish , and running a rotrex charger with 13psi of boost at 323 bhp. Just your average Joe lol
  3. Happy Anniversary Bumblebee!

  4. Joe is a young whipper snapper. I must hold the award for being the oldest boosted club member , 50 in a couple of months but still 21 at heart lol
  5. just a bit of a tidy up really , maybe treat her to a couple of gallons of waxoyl while im at it . Having savings is over rated Joe , theres no pockets in shrouds mate , enjoy your money while you can just keep a little back for a rainy day She wont be an out and out track car , she will be stripped out but will have an mot so I can still use her on the road although I am enjoying driving the 4x4 and that's probably saved me a few points by now lol
  6. oi don't have a go at the car Joe, she only does what your right foot tells her to do lol
  7. Just wondered what people have got planned for their cars over the winter months , mods, overhauls etc. Anything new happening on the FI front ?
  8. its only money and its meant for spending , No pockets in shrouds is one of my fave sayings , enjoy it while you can, you never know whats round the corner
  9. ive given up counting . its still cheaper than going out on the piss twice a week and having nothing but a headache for your cash . I still like a beer tho lol
  10. good to see you have turned over a new leaf and mellowed Ant
  11. that was a bite close for comfort Ant , pleased its ok mate
  12. the tool you are after for use with the stainless steel tie wraps is an electricians Panduit gun
  13. if it were the heater matrix the inside of the car would be wet . If the water pump is leaking you will see crystalised colouring on the water pump casing from the tell tale hole underneath . Mine weeped for several years but never gave up . changed out any way
  14. maybe ok for some cars , I guess it depends on matrix internal sizes , but some people on here that have used it have had problems later on with blocked heater matrix. That is a pita to replace so really not worth the gamble in my view. If you change the rad out follow the bleeding instructions that are on a sticker on the underside of the bonnet otherwise you wont get rid of all the air in the system. Rad is a real easy job, did mine without having to remove bumper too . Allow 2 hours and you will do it easy inc the bleeding which can take 30 mins to do properly
  15. do not use K seal or any other sealer , it blocks the heater matrix and any other small water passages . You can replace the radiator , which is normally always the culprit when you cant find the leak , for less than £100 inc coolant. use a piece of white kitchen towel and gently wipe It along the cross member below the rad , see if you can see any colouring from the coolant
  16. great colour and sweet looking motor oh and if you are losing coolant it will almost certainly be the rad , mine was doing it for months before it finally went , very hard to see a leak as you can only see rad from engine bay , looking from front of the car is the ac condenser which hides the rad
  17. nooo they are winding you up mate , love cats , couldn't eat a full one on my own tho lol
  18. lol. nah but I thought I could also keep the doggers who use the layby up the road in check too pmsl
  19. not Celica related but an early xmas pressie to myself to keep the vermin down , bit of overkill really lol
  20. So what happens to all of the parts that wear on the timing chain and gears , cams , followers and shims which are steel ?
  21. my engine hasn't had an easy life since I bought it with 30 odd k on the clock , she is now at about 110k and running 323bhp and 13 psi of boost so im guessing that must say something about how good the oil is . Tesco often have it on offer too which makes it even better
  22. always used magnatec 5/30 until this last oil change at 110k, using millers now she is boosted
  23. Tyre pressure monitoring system to keep an eye on pressures and temp whilst out on track . Displays through the screen on the head unit so no extra monitors to mount
  24. All good up here mate , still making plans for the car for the next year . hope all good with you
