  1. As far as I know, just running smaller wipers is legal.
  2. Small update, bit the bullet and bought this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SALE-Car-Fault-Code-Reader-Engine-Diagnostic-Scanner-Reset-Tool-OBD2-EOBD-OBDII/254233252735?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Far better bit of kit.
  3. I had the Avon under car covers 3 of them. one soft one on the paintwork, then 2 waterproof ones to keep it dry. The bonnet came up with micro blistering, so now I just let it sit in it's car port/shelter and wash the dirt and dust off in the spring.
  4. Did they remove the decorative studs (look like 12 point Allen key bolt heads) If not there is contamination coming out. If they did remove them, did they use Stainless Steel and use something like epoxy resin to seal the holes that the bolt goes into up.
  5. Bought one of those cheap ones myself. It did not read codes so contacted the seller and got a full refund, without the expense of return postage.
  6. With cross bracing (noggins) that would be fine.
  7. On Ebay OBD2 code readers are about £12- £15. The one I have is now only £9 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Fault-Code-Reader-Engine-Diagnostic-Scanner-Reset-Tool-OBD-2-CAN-BUS-EOBD/223031484977?epid=0&hash=item33edb66231:g:rkgAAOSwCA5baCHy
  8. Had an afternoon working on The Avon. Still got tyres/wheels/underneath to do.
  9. Washed THE Avon, took it to the nearest Maccy D's for supper. Watched 3 younger people looking at my car (20's) they took photos of it, then one of them brought their R35 GTR over, parked next to it and took more photos. I did speak to them, one couple up from Maidstone and one guy from Stafford, here to do a track day at Snetterton tomorrow. R35 was rather lush.
  10. Today I fitted a new battery to The AVON, got it started and round to the front of the house. Hoovered the roof to remove a layer of cat fur. Checked the fluids and all seems well. Interior hoovered, needs a wash though. Will give it a wash and polish on Sunday, take it to work on Monday.
  11. Still have Ethel, does not look like that now though. 20 years in July. First show after 4 days of ownership was JAE '99.
  12. Need someone to confirm what nuts are correct for those wheels. I don't have one of those around to double check myself. They used to be a lovely wheel when new. One thought, are the nuts long enough? They might be tight on the stud but not actually holding the wheel tight to the hub.
  13. That looks fine to me. So if the wheels are swapped does the imbalance stay on the same part of the car or move with the same wheel/tyre? Are the wheel nuts correct? Does the imbalance only affect one wheel? Just to clarify, can you confirm what wheels you have had refurbished? The 17" Gen7 Team Dynamics? What wheel nuts are you using? The collared ones?
  14. Only 3 left to sell, I will be taking them to the Birthday party next weekend, IF you want to collect from there, they will be £10 each and first come first served, or reserve one in this thread. Current reserved list is 1.Usetheforce 2.MJC68 3. 4. 5.
  15. Gen6 and Gen7 wheels fit either models without spigot ringsxss they are both 54.1 bore.
  16. I don't particularly worry about the mileage, condition and how it's been looked after would be more of a concern. Low mileage does not mean it's been looked after well, just means it's not been used much.
  17. That answers that missing Calendar then, You should have had it sent to work or family if you knew you were moving out. Do you have a contact phone number for the new people or is it close enough to pop in?
