Passenger air bag removal

First of all the most important bit. Make sure you disconnect the battery, it is advised that you wait a few minutes after it is disconnect to ensure the airbags won't go off

Tools Needed: > 10mm Socket Wrench - with extender > 12mm Socket Wrench > Flat Head Screwdriver

Step 1: Disconnect Battery Step 2: Open Glove Box Step 3: There are 2 plastic stoppers in each top corner of the glove box (Fig.1) these just need a quarter turn and they pull out, the glove box will then open until it touches the floor, exposing the hinges.

Step 4: There are 2 plastic hinge pins at the back of the glove box (Fig.2) I used the screwdriver at this point to help slide out the pins, they shouldn't take too much effort but it is awkward to access them from behind. The glove box can then be removed and you will have access to the following steps.

Step 5: Remove the 12mm bolt circled in the middle of Fig.3 and remove the two 10mm nuts circled either side in Fig.3. The one pictured on the right is set quite far back so you will need an extender for the 10mm socket wrench.

Step 6: Once the bolt and 2 nuts are removed you will be able to push the module up through the dash, there are some plastic tabs that may need some persuading when removing the module. You will then need to unplug the yellow connector, its sat right out of the way, I found it easiest to look through the windscreen from the outside to see where it was sitting. (See Fig.4)

Step 7: The module will then be free from the dash and you will be left with a hole looking right through the dash
