Removal of the centre console G7

Ok guys and girls

Here you go, the guide to removing the center console

1. Remove the gear knob by twisting it

2. Pull the surround up from the window switch end

3. Pull around the edge of the surround, moving towards the back

4. Slide out the surround

5. Unplug the cigarette lighter

6. Undo the 2 screws under the AC console

Screws removed

7. Remove the AC control knobs by pulling them

NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THE KNOBS on your climate control!, Remember to disconnect the cables at the back of the climate control before removing it with the rest of the centre console

8. Pull the console away from the bottom, do this reasonably gently, you can now release the clips a little further up again with reasonable force. Be careful here though as there is a clip at the top of the clock area which will snap if you bend the unit upwards, best way is to pull the entire unit towards you

9. Disconnect the clock connector

10. Console is off....job done
