How to remove you headlight G7

Tools needed:

1/4" drive 10mm socket with knuckle and extension.

Time taken:

20mins (including photos) but I have done it a few times now.

Remove clips for plastic panel (5 in total).

3 bolts are used to hold the headlight into the car. Slacken off the 2 that are visible in the engine bay.

Pull the wheel arch lining out a little from behind the bumper, to expose a screw holding the bumper to the wing.

Remove screw.

Pull the bumper away from the wing and you can see the 3rd bolt for the headlight.

Undo bolt (using the knuckle makes it a lot easier).

Now remove the other 2 bolts completely in the engine bay.

Unclip the washer bottle from the headlight casing (offside headlight only).

Partially remove the headlight (it won't go far as the bulbs and height adjuster are still connected).

Remove the bulb connectors by pressing down on the tabs arrowed.

(This is different as I have HID's)

Now you can remove you headlight completely.

And change the bulbs with ease
