This fitment of the universal halfords bike rack on the G7.

There are 6 mounting points for this unit, it has

  • Two top mounts
  • Two side mounts
  • Two lower mounts
  • The first thing when fitting the unit is to open the boot and fit the top mounts they simply slide through on the outer side of the hinges. Photos below;

  • with the boot lid close insert the side clips, this simply clips around the boot lid, it is coated so no damage will be done.

  • fit the lower mounts, this is where it looks like this was designed for the car, you will notice under the car there is a hole just where you need it to be. The metal loops on the nylon strap fit in here and are very secure! do this on both sides.

  • Open the rack to fit and attack straps to according clips, do not tighten until they are all on then start to centre the rack by tightening the straps.

  • Rear view out the car
