Freeman558
The demand on GT86's might go up as the BRZ makes an appearance in Fast8. Although I'm not really sure what that franchise does for car sales as the driving set pieces in them generally hold about the same real world value as fight scenes in The Matrix. At moment I see more GT86/BRZ's on the road than I do Gen7 GT's so I am happy with my Celica (I like having a car that I know I am unlikely to see another of next to me at a set of lights) but the 86 does have "My next car" written all over it. This has to be the best autotrader advert for a car ever or at least the best I've read

tony190
I really like the 86...but can't help think that it would have been such a epic car if they just dumped a turbo on that motor !!! (Basically a coupe impreza) Would have defo have been my next car then... I just can't help notice all the featured 86's and brz's you see in magazines / car shows normally have one thing in common a turbo !
Boynxdoor
Not sure why he's used a 140 Maybe because of Insurance purposes for younger drivers...Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
matt1280
When I had my 140 blue edition my next car was going to be the 86 but has to be the aero edition for me in red or black! Just love it, I now have a gen7 gt and I don't feel the need for the 86 as much, whether that's just because I now have the big spoiler lol I don't know! It'll be a a few more years before I get an 86 I think! The 86 still has that different look though, not much else like it apart from the Subaru BRZ lol
dublet
Maybe because of Insurance purposes for younger drivers... But RWD would be quite a bit more expensive than FWD for the younger, inexperienced?
chelseablue
Well I've had my GT86 for a year now, I've no idea why people say they are slow, 200bhp in a lightweight car makes it very nippy, it still puts a smile on my face every time I get in it.
Crazy Cat Lady
Although i can afford to buy a 86 i'm not willing to accept the couple of grand or so a year depreciation costs. And from a practical standpoint the 86 looks a bit lacking in rear cargo space. But the GT86 is far nicer looking car than the Gen 7, and it's RWD too, which i find awfully tempting.... As for RWD, for most of the driving your're going to do on clogged British roads, you're not going to enjoy that very often. The grass is always greener.... chelseablue
I did look at the last of the gen 7 GT's but they were asking too much money for a 10 year old car, So being a big birthday for me I went for the 86, luggage space hasn't caused any problems as there are only two of us now the kids have left home, a two week tour of Ireland last year was fine, didn't even have to fold the seats forward and if I need to transport a larger item I can always nick the wife' car lol. Rear wheel drive is not a big deal for me as I learned to drive in a MK1 Escort and most of my driving "education" was in rear wheel drive cars, I've always thought that rear wheel drive cars feel better balanced, but I'm comfortable driving either. At the end of the day most of us buy the car that best suits our needs, and the 86 suits most of mine atm. as for the 86 lacking power, these times tell a different story. http://fastestlaps.com/tests/df2vussaz7j1
