99GT
Hi. I've had a quote from somewhere to refurbish the standard gen6 diamond cut alloys. They're 15 inch. They will blast, powdercoat, re cut and lacquer them and have stated a cost of 100 plus vat per wheel. seems steep to me but they are local so i won't have to courier the wheels or anything, and they will remove and refit tyres and balance the wheels for that. They're also meant to do a good job. I was hoping for more like 80 - 90 though tbh. Am I just being tight?! Edited May 5, 2016 by 99GT

99GT
I take a look next time I'm on the PC. Who is that? Thanks
Davem45r
You should be able to find someone to media blast and powder coat for less than about £180 for a set of 4 (I know of someone who gets it done locally for £160 / 4 wheels). No idea about the cost of diamond cutting - probably depends on how much you have done, but I had the very outer edge of the rim done on and it cost me about a tenner a wheel. Old Red Celica
You're looking for a "Wheel Repair" Company in the Corp section. You're not spoilt for choice
Kobir
For diamond cut wheels the price you've been quoted seems about right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
99GT
Cheers all. Looks like refurbing the alloys will cost more than I paid for the car. Lol
25th Anniversary
i would keep an eye on ebay, as diamond cut alloys come up from time to time for a fraction of the refurb price.
99GT
I'll keep an eye out for sure, but will probably end up getting them done as I'm a bit of a perfectionist, unfortunately!
