Crazy Cat Lady
Something i've wondered ever since i've owned my Celi.... Is the bleeper an audio warning for the driver inside the car? Or can it be heard outside to warn people of a reversing car? Or to put it another way; can the bleep be heard outside the car, or is it just an interior sound effect? I have to ask this because i've never been outside my car while reversing it, not yet anyway. Harry-Dave
I'm very glad it's there, tbh I don't think much of the Gen 7 gearbox, it's really quite clunky and even this morning at a give way mark I was flashed to move out by a car already on the road, only for the car to go into reverse. Zorg
Workmate just bought a 140 and asked how to switch the reverse beep off so he don't disturb his neighbours when going to work. (Oh how thoughtful..Chicken shit)
ams
Useful if anyone else drives your car who doesn't drive it everyday and you leave it parked in gear
Cal670
Doesn't bother me personally, plus gotta love it when it takes people who haven't been in one before by surprise and they wonder where it's coming from.
ScottChester
I think it's a bad idea. Took my car for an mot and the guy nearly reversed it into a wall until I shouted.. He thought the beep was rear parking sensors !!!

Guest Ambermile
Suppose I deserved that for being honest. ... but it's easy to do if your gear stick return spring is missing or loose...
