1995 black celica ss2

Hi folks this is getting more interesting now,my celica is an ss2 (how that differs i dont know) 1995 black auto and it goes like a dream only thing is i have a rectangular red button to right of the selector lever it has jap writing under it and doesnt appear to do anything anyone got any ideas (somebody please tell me its for the nitros injection lol)

I believe it is so that you can change gear with the engine turned off...............So the man at he garage told me today when i picked my car up and it seems to work......

with most new uk cars you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to "acc" or "ign",to get it out of park, but on jap cars if you still have the keys in your pocket,by pressing the button you can now take the car out of park say if you needed to roll it forwards or what ever.. im sure someone just wrote that but with less words!!!
