scorps1212 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 Hey guys Back in the day when i had my escort RS, every RS or even XR3i i see either flashed me or gave me the thumbs up. I drove past a white faff yesterday, slowly, and beeped my horn and gave him the thumbs up. Nothing back. Then i pulled into the slow lane and waited for him to pass us. When he did, again i stuck my hand up as he went passed, and him and his misses just looked at us as if to say 'who are you and how do we know you'. Lol. Out of all the GT's or faffs i've come across, only 1 has shared the love back, and that was from a woman in a white faff. Completely different to the ford owners world. Lol. arizona Posted March 3, 2013 Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 Nearly always get flash back and a wave from the gen 6 owners when out in the vert, plus strangely jag vert owners and other even nicer prestige types which is kinda nice the gen 5, well there isnt any round here that i've seen but mr2 owners and anyone else with flippy headlights gives the thumbs up, plus a couple of gen 6 gt4 owners who recognise it as a predecessor will thumbs up and wave dunno whats up with them up your way Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Akuma77 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 theres several celicas especially in the 7 gen variety in town and there mostly 140's and im sure ive seen on my way home a gen 5 which i believe is the guy who i bought the tsport from a couple of times and i try to flash people , one day there was even a yellow gen 7 in front of me but he turned off different way. Was some eastern european lads having a good gander and looked harmless enough but i moved it down nearer the shop. When i'm in the cab (which to be fair is a lot of the time) i see quite a few, when i'm in the four...none. Monkey_matt Posted March 3, 2013 Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) When I was in the faff, if I flashed other GT-Four owners would always get a reply and if flashed by any other celica would reply, however in the 7, I dont get much, probably because of how common the celica is. you prob have the same problem in a 6 GT, its a fairly common car so you wont get much response off other owners unless they are on here, and its sorry to say, that probably alot of GT-Four owners (if they are not on here) consider other versions of the celica 'Below them' as they are probably on GT4OC Edited March 3, 2013 by Monkey_matt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Probably because they were so bloody ugly that the owners had to stick together, as everyone else thought they were crazy! However, that seems to have change in recent years, now that the facelift version looks a bit more normal. Laughed lots when I left ricers at the lights No, I never made it onto the Fiat forum - I'm afraid the multipla was only ever a crate for carrying people as far as I was concerned. I fell out of love with it about as quickly as Fiat bits started falling off or failing. Then we brought the facelift version and we're still living with it.
