Got in car, turned key....

CLICK.   CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK......

damn.  Battery was fine on Saturday.  Check doors were shut, interior light was off, boot closed and all headlights off - yup.  battery just gave up.  3 weeks over its warranty life.

Pop down to local factors prepared to bend over and lube up - nope !  In stock Yuasa battery type 053 £39.99

result!

Brought her home today, after a couple of weeks in the garage.

Full service, clean MOT, new Yellowspeed coilovers and Team Dynamics Pro Race 3 wheels.

Yesterday:

The biannual ritual of the changing of the wheels; it's that time of year to get the winters off and put the summers on!

Also had a quartet of brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 3 fitted to the summer wheels yesterday so didn't even need to flex my own muscles this time, lucky it wasn't raining as the 'dry' winter wheels were taken home in the back of car. The young lads who did the fitting were very impressed with the Celi, they like interesting cars and appreciate vehicle cleanliness.

Back at home i thoroughly washed and wax polished the winter wheels, before storing them safely away in the garage;

all ready for action come late next autumn.

after 4 years of stock headunit here is the blue tooth kenwood fitted :)

so happy with this one that cost a mere £45 and does everything i need it too , it even sounds quite punchy with the extra audio options on stock speakers :

cant believe how heavy this one was compared to the new one ....

Did you let the young lads also have a stroke of your pussy? It is a very fine specimen and I wouldn't mind giving it a tickle.

Is this an episode of "Are you being served?"?

Has the head-unit change improved the sonic quality?

Mrs Slocombe ...would never allow common workmen with oily hands and a nut stud gun to vibrate her fondmetals off... :o

Picked it up from Westfield Motors in Rayleigh after a full service, wheel geometry, alignment thing (they all point the same way now) and my shiny engine bits finished.

Just need to clean up the rest of the engine bay

Made a heatshield for the 205 squiggly manifold, its a bit bright silver though so contemplating the matt black high temp paint found in the shed..

then I was going to fit the strut brace but all went wrong, Ken was mowing and there's gravel stone filled flowerbeds........... bang, i was showered with stones at high speed but worse the rear screen of the car shattered into a million bits :brickwall:

Anyway a pic of the better part of yesterday
