  1. Jeez I had my ACE alloys refurbished and powder coated for £190 for 4. I would tend to agree with oldred .. it's almost certainly aluminium oxidisation the brown will probably be from brake dust etc ... Water has got behind the coating around the valve seat would be my guess

  6. Cleaned the intake and painted it.... Happy with the look, just got to pray the paint is as good with with temps and oil... Reviews say so so who am I to argue... On to the fit later shelf

  8. Cruise control was an option for the Japanese market, so I would assume a conversion is possible, how and where from I can't help with, but it would seem it has been done before
  9. Washed, polished and waxed one, removed the front bumper, inner arch covers, exhaust, rear lights and a few other bits off the other
  10. In the post today,... I got the most important addition to my 7 so far.... I got new parcel shelf clips that aren't snapped.....
  11. If you are confident you can "improve" them yourself.. Using a hot air gun or burning torch heat the section of the wheel that is flat... Get it hot but not molten obviously . Then using a soft faced hammer.. Or a normal hammer and a piece of wood, panel beat them back to shape. You won't get it perfect and you do run the risk of cracking the wheel if you go too far.. It's certainly not a job for the feint hearted.. I have done this loads of times together with welding up cracked wheels, but my previous job was welder fabricator
  12. Im now using Flickr... And after some help from people here am successfully using it .. I started a thread in off topic ... The guidelines I followed are in there
  13. Adjusted handbrake, re fitted belly pan, found leak from sump gasket, fitted new gas struts to tailgate . Good job I have an oil change planned
  14. Yes that was the switch I was thinking of but if it does it any door doesn't seem to be that. It does sound like the car is auto arming itself again very quickly , but unfortunately I have no idea why
  15. Does the interior light go on when you open the door ? Possibly the door sensor switch not working so not recognising door opening ?
  16. Replaced these.. Don't know why , plenty of life left
  17. Witnessed smoke on tick over ... Topped up oil and started monitoring .. Made plans to go through maff cleaning tomorrow and hoping I'm over worried ....
  18. In the first week of having my 140 o "enjoyed" driving around and only doing short distances. Although claimed to have been serviced I haven't changed any oil or filters etc and still returned 28mpg which equates roughly to 21p a mile .. I'm confident that driving like a normal person would definitely improve this.. Only my findings but hope it helps
