  1. No shims on the gen 7, it's the rust off the housing, I didn't have any on mine when I did my refurb over the last 18 months. If you've got rust attaching itself to the sensor as they are slightly magnetic then that could be the cause of your ABS issue like in the first 2 pics.
  2. I believe standard exhaust pipework is 2.25" on a t-sport this should fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Gasket-Conical-Mesh-Gaskets-2-25-57mm-Seal-For-Tube-Flange-/291417147437?hash=item43d9d0c82d:g:8OsAAOSwBahVFR6N
  3. Happy 10 Anniversary armoredfist2002!

  4. Not sure what price they go for as not many come up. Door cards have red stitching, I think that's the only difference
  5. 10mm hole is to adjust the cog on the handbrake shoes which has a rubber bung in it, take a look at the last picture posted of a close up of the smaller hole, tell me where the head of the bolt sits as there is no countersink there it's completely flat, so any bolt fitted in that hole will protrude. Also there are no holes in the hub to screw the disc to the hub.
  6. There are no countersunk bolts to hold on the rear discs, I don't know where you got this from. The two holes are to put bolts in to help remove the discs from the hubs if they have been on a few yaers, instead of smacking the back of the discs with a hammer, a few turns with 2 bolts and it comes straight off. And besides the holes are not countersunk.
  7. When I did mine it was a balancing act. I turned the cog enough to hold the disc on, but spins freely when the handbrake is off. When the handbrake is on it's very tight to stop the car moving. I found it easier to fit the wheels and move tha car and put the handbrake on to see if it held the car, I could feel one side was holding but the other was slack, so tightened it a bit more and then it held, but it didn't spin as freely as I would have liked, but it should wear the shoes down a little over time and slacken off, you could hear it rubbing a little when I rotated the disc. Have the shoes worn too much they won't hold enough.
  8. In the video you posted did you loosen the cog on the handbrake when your turning the disc? As i'm pretty sure when I did my brakes and tightened the cog up, when the handbrake is off and the disc rotates it shouldn't move and catch the wheel studs like it does in you video, it should be tight as if the wheel nuts were holding it. Is there a problem with the cog or shoes insides that could be causing this? Is the disc seated properly?
  9. Would be nice to know exactly where it's stored, and if it would be possible to unsolder and re solder to another board
  10. If you swap your dials mileage will change to read what's on the new dials, not sure where it's stored
  11. Happy 9 Anniversary armoredfist2002!

  12. And there was a genuine veilside exhaust
  13. Happy Anniversary armoredfist2002!

  14. The spring not fitting the shocks you mentioned I believe are the rear shocks on cars in the US, something to do with them being thinner than the UK shocks, so will have no effect on your car. Sounds like the mechanic doesn't know what he is doing.
  15. They go by different names, some are called carbon dipping, I think there is another name but can't remember it now. I came across these on the net, they are supposed to be good at what they do. Only downside is they are in Dorset, so they might be under water. http://www.wickedcoatings.co.uk/
  16. From what I have come across on the net, pedal feel will be stiffer with a braided hose, rubber can expand similar to a balloon under pressure which the braided hoses don't, which is why braided give a stiffer pedal feel.
  17. funky power sell the injen one for about £20 if you email Hannan I'm sure it's free postage for club members. It pulls to the air filter when revving but can't say it affects performance
  18. Depending on what your using the paint on and size you could just stick it in the oven. Done this with an exhaust manifold years ago, wrapped it in that fibre exhaust wrap tape, and put some high temp silver paint on it, had to put it in the oven as I couldn't put it on the car and cure it that way round.
  19. I used to get mine pinched by the kids walking to school, as they would use the little industrial estate I work on as a shortcut, so bought some anti theft ones but even they don't work as if you push down on the tops hard enough they turn and come off. So I got fed up and just used the black plastic ones, they don't seem to want to pinch those. How do the flush fit valves work?
  20. Don't know how good JB weld, how it dries etc. but rather than risk the possibility of a piece coming off and being sucked into the engine, would it be easier to cut the AEM at the tear and fit a silicone hose around it?
  21. Dimpled seem to make a ticking noise, must be the air getting trapped as there is nowhere for it to go. I had drilled & grooved tarox on my fronts for over 2 years and they were fine, but drilled are more prone to cracking especially under very heavy use.
  22. They do need welding on. Depends on where you take it, some exhaust shops are dearer than others. Your better off having a look at what exhaust places are in your local area popping in and asking them before you do anything else, to get some prices and info.
  23. If you get a custom exhaust made in a shop like longlife or powerflow all they use are universal exhaust parts. It's just the pipework is bent to follow the path under the car and then all welded together making it custom. It's all about the quality. If you buy the cheapest you can find then it's not always the best option as you may find they leak at the welds after a period of time or lose their packing quickly. So if you buy a quality universal exhaust then your fine, no problems. But if you buy too cheap then you have the problems above. But other than that you should be fine. I quite like the magnaflow universal exhausts, they come with a lifetime warranty and have quite large welds not just a few dots on them like some exhausts. I've got a magnaflow middle box to go on mine at some point.
  24. There is a TRD kitted celica over on new celica which is similar to the mazda icy blue, not sure if it's a bit darker though. It looks very nice. Wouldn't go with yellow as this is a standard colour and the orange and green have been done before on here. Go with something different Here's the blue TRD kitted one from new celica
