Jeeez...I hate those big wings...unless it's for the track. It always smacks of trying to hard...and "look at me"...for ALL the wrong reasons. Each to their own I guess. I'll get me coat.! -
Yep...same here in sleepy Rutland...doesn't seem five minutes since I was paying well below 120p per litre...now it's 127.....Summer is here again.

Unless it holds something really special for you...then I'd wave it goodbye...buy another. I would always have niggling doubts even after repair. Sad to hear though and I'm glad you were ok.

Great.,..only 26 years to go before I can forget about an MOT.. ...but seriously, I can't see that being right if the car has to spend any time on public roads. Surely a "responsible" owner would want to know that the vehicle passes an independent assessment of it's safety.?

The worse thing is...you are at the mercy of someone's opinion on the day...(unless you are having the MOT done by the garage that looks after your car..that's usually a good result.) All you can do is present the vehicle as best you can having checked the basics....I spent some years in the trade and even the resident mechanics got a little nervous when MOT time came around. I was a little nervous myself back in May when my imported 2003 Estima went for it's first MOT in my ownership...but no worries..it went through with no advisories whatsoever. Neil

Like it...a lot. ! ...only thing I'd change is the white, way OTT Dunlop tyre sidewall crap....detracts from the car IMO. Neil

Agree...don't use it..if you value your car and want to keep it. Much better to do a "proper" repair. Neil

Agree, Dean...if I was looking to buy a Celica now, I'd definitely be looking for a "blue" edition. I think it is THE best interior.. Neil
